"Why must we suffer through the public schooling system?" I asked Amy and Mariah as we sat through English.
"Because in third world countries most people don't have the same opportunity to learn in schools." Amy replied from her Epic of Gilgamesh packet.
"Can I live there?" I asked brightening up.
"No. I think people from the Middle East hate Americans." Mariah said filing her nails, I deflated at that.
"So what's the answer to number two?" I asked Amy who was working furiously.
"The answer is Inkidu." She replied, looking very distracted.
"Um I didn't bother reading this story but isn't he Gilgamesh's friend and rival?" Mariah asked her
"Yes." Amy said dazed.
"Then how is he Gilgamesh's mother and a Lilitu." Mariah questioned her. Amy shook her head, laughed
