Dinner that night didn’t feel like the normal family dinners from my newly found memories. Instead, it is awkward and quiet. Mum had cooked her famous shepherds pie with apple crumble for dessert. At the taste of her food, more memories came to the front of my mind as I remembered her business. I had missed her cooking and not even known it.
