Audrey’s POV
The devil was here. It was like anytime I thought of him or wanted to think of him, his face magically pops up and we’re seeing each other. His black hair was done in the same way Asher’s own was, his eyes staring straight at me as he sat down on the same seat Asher just stood up from.
“Princess, if you had told me there was going to be an occasion where you'd dress up as beautiful like this, I would have gone in to…”
“Why are you here, Alaric?” I cut him off, rolling my eyes at him as I leaned back into my chair.
His eyes scanned the entire garden before resting back on me, “Isn’t it obvious? My mate is here and I'm here to watch her.”
Irritation and annoyance coiled my guts up, making me jerk my chair backwards as I stood up. “You are not my mate, Alaric. And you would never be my mate. It would kill both my wolf and I to accept you as my mate.”
I had not taken more than three steps when I felt his hand pull me backwards, causing me to roll towards him and land on his hard brick of a chest. “Release me this instance, Alaric.”
“Relax, princess. I’m not going to bite.”
With one of his hand resting on my back, his lips curled into a well known grin, his other hand moving towards my face, tucking my hair at the back of my ear before looking into my eyes.
I felt my breath hitch, all the words and thoughts in my brain disappearing out of the window as we stared at each other. To me, the stare was everything. It felt like he could see right into my soul, see all the things I have done and all the things I could do to him.
I clenched my jaw as his throat bobbed up and returned down, his eyes starting to darken with desire and starting to move down my chest, “Alaric,” I said quietly.
His eyes continued to go down, blocking out my quiet call that nothing could happen. We were in the garden, one that anyone could enter anytime, even Asher could come back in and find us together.
“Alaric, you have to release me. This is not..
“I’m not touching you or f*****g you here, Audrey. I enjoy having my c**k buried deep inside of you, but I have shame too and would never do that in here. So don’t worry.”
“Then release me then, or what else are you waiting for?” I eyed him, trying to break myself away from his hard grip.
He shut his eyes tight as he drew me closer to him more than before, his hard grip becoming harder, leaving me no space to even fight for my space.
I grunted as he pushed my face to his chest, his hand stroking my head, while his other hand kept on with my back. I took a deep breath in, inhaling his thick masculine scent which was way more better than Asher’s scent.
“Hmm.” My wolf taunted.
I shut her out instantly. Yes, yes, i love Asher but i cannot deny that Alaric has a better smell to him. And even better words. And even better compliments. And better pet name.
“And a good kisser.” She jumped in again.
“I swear to the moon goddess, if you dare say anything again, i would shut you out, deep into my core for weeks and not bother with you.”
She whined slowly, withdrawing and leaving me to my thoughts. Asher was a good kisser, very good. His kiss seemed to bring every nerve of mine awake and want more. But Alaric’s, I blinked slowly, my brain dwindling of what to think of Alaric’s kiss and make of it.
My mind took me back to this morning, my back pressed against the door, his hot lips on mine, exploring and settling all of my insides.
I gulped down, closing my eyes as I relieved the memory. It was different, far more different than Asher’s.
Asher’s kiss made me feel like a princess, kissing me slow and with burning passion. But Alaric’s. I clenched my thighs together, my tongue swiping hot on my lips, swallowing my spit instantly, Alaric’s kiss was the kiss that always led to another, making me a slut for him.
“Princess, are you thinking of me f*****g you in the garden or why do you look like that?” his voice shook me out of my thoughts.
Every part of me burned in embarrassment instantly, allowing me to quickly push myself away from him and leave a large amount of gap between us.
“i..I wo..would never think of us..having s*x in the garden. Asher, maybe,'' I stuttered with continuous shaking and bobbling of my head. “But with you, I would never think of such.”
His reply came as I hurried away with my remaining dignity out of the garden, “Well, the look on your face says otherwise.”
“I would never, Alaric!” I yelled out at him.
“Well, let me know if you ever change your mind, dear mate. For you, i can leave my shame just to satisfy your fantasy.”
I shook my head slowly, increasing my pace with just one thought in my mind, I was a slut for Alaric.
Alaric’s POV
A smirk and playful smile danced around my lips as i watched her scurry away from me. But my face returned to normal just as quick as the smile was there. I gritted my teeth together, the scent of the person i had smelled on her making both my wolf and I rage in jealousy.
That cunning bastard of a brother that i have, always making me think he was not interested in the girl then shocking me with something like this. It was a date, a f*****g date and it was just a day after it has been announced. My eyes scanned around the table, my lips lifting up in a taunting smirk as I scoffed out.
“f*****g Asher even decorated the table,” i said under my breath.
With the last of annoyance in me, my feets moved quickly and out of the garden, matching towards the one place I knew he would be. I threw the door open to find him in his study room, his face buried in a sheet of papers, looking up with obvious irritation.
“Brother..
I slammed the door close, pulling out the chair as i plopped my butt on it. “Message received loud and clear, Asher. what exactly are you playing at here?”
His lips baked up into a half-smile, packing all the sheets he had in front of him as he replied, not even bothering to spare me a glance, “I suppose the guards relayed my message to you. Did you meet her in the garden?”
“Was it supposed to taunt me or make me jealous?”
“Either of the two, Alaric. Were you able to kiss her? Or was i just the only one?”
My wolf growled deep in me, anger coursing through my veins. Audrey has f*****g allowed Asher to kiss her, to touch her.
“i’m sure she would never allow you to do that.” I growled out in response.
The smile on his face widened, leaning into his chair ashe crossed his leg. He raised his brows up as he squinted his eyes at me, “You really think Audrey, who is head over heels for me won’t allow me to kiss her?”
“You know, i could have f****d her if i wanted too, because it was clear her entire body wanted me too. But she’s a princess, i..
I slammed my fist hard on the table, my butt out of the chair in an instant. With my eyes glowing of their wolf colors, and all my veins popping out of my forehead, i growled at him. “What the f*****g game are you playing at, Asher Nightshade?”
He stood up, calmer than I've ever seen him. This was it. The pose he uses to deceive everyone. Great Alpha Asher Nightshade, the calmest of both brothers. The one whose words was more richer and seemed to soothe the masses more than my words. But what they had no idea of was the beast that lied deep inside of him. The one that came out when no one was looking and would destroy everything in the blink of an eye,
“I’m not playing any game, brother. I’m merely telling you what I did with the girl that seemed to catch your attention so much. This is the first girl, right?”
“Lady, brother. She’s a lady. And your mate to say. But all you can see is a f**k girl. Really, Asher? Has your demented alpha brain gotten this demented?”
He walked away from his table, stopping beside me with his hand on my shoulder. I casted my glance towards him, meeting his eyes, “Asher,
“Alaric, brother..” he cut me off, chuckling as he tapped my shoulder repeatedly.
“I’ve not even begun half of the stuff I plan on doing with you, and you’re already shaking. What would happen if I start now?”
“What the f**k are you up to Asher!” I growled out, throwing his hand away from my shoulder and facing him fully.
He walked away from me, only looking back to wink at me with just two words from his mouth, “You’ll see.”
