The first day of classes went surprisingly well. Since we're all first-year students, all the professors focused more on going over the syllabus and expectations of the course for the semester. I found myself taking the seat at the front of the class more often than not. Learning was something I always loved, yet was tainted by all the random "exercises" thrown at me in the coven. Eric and Shailene thought catching me off guard would help me unlock my mystery gifts. It didn't. It did make me work extra hard at maintaining good grades despite the telepathic interruptions constantly hurled at me though.
