Rogue Mate

I woke up to the most horrible pain I had ever been in. I felt my body burning. It felt like fire coursing through me. I hurriedly tried to push the nurse button.

A few minutes later, a nurse came into my room, arms folded with no rush in her step.

“What do you need, rogue?”

“Please. I’m in so much pain. Please, I need something please.” I begged her. Surely, being in a hospital, there was something they could do to help with this pain.

“We don’t give rogues pain medication.” she turned and walked out the door. What the heck is this?

Ahhhhh. I screamed. The pain was becoming unbearable. I pushed the nurse button again. The same stuck-up nurse came into the room.

“I already told you. We don’t help rogues. If you’re in pain, then you will be until your wolf heals you.” She smirked and rolled her eyes.

A howl erupted through the whole hospital. The nurse stood frozen in my room. You could feel Daniels aura throughout the hospital, could feel it getting closer to my room. Next thing u know he was busting through the door and was right at my side.

“What’s wrong with her?” He looked at the nurse as he wiped away the tears that were escaping my eyes.

“She was in pain and asking for us to give her something. I informed her we do not waste resources on rogue’s alpha.” The nurse stated with her head bowed at him.

As quickly as she finished, Daniel had her by her neck against the wall.

“You will give her whatever she asks for, when she asks for it.” He was seething now. Pushing his full alpha arura on her. I could hear her whimper in pain at feeling all his alpha arura.

“Yes alpha”, Daniel dropped her, and she ran out the room. I see his face soften as he looks back at me. The pain is still there, but not nearly as bad. Daniel comes to my side and gets into the hospital bed with me to pull me to him. The sparks and tingles started flying everywhere he touched, making the pain subside. I was no longer in pain, but I was now in pure bliss being with him.

“How did you know to come here?” I asked him, curious how he gotten here so fast, and how he I knew.

“I felt your pain. I don’t know how, but I felt everything. I knew it had to be you, so Axel, my wolf, pushed me to the side and ran there as fast as he could.”

“You could feel it? I’m sorry” I said, looking down, not wanting to make eye contact with him.

“Why are you sorry? You didn’t do it on purpose or even know about it.” I still couldn’t look at him. I had caused my mate pain, unintentionally, but still.

There was a knock on the door and the doctor came in with the same nurse tailing behind him.

“Alpha” He looked to Daniel and then at me “Luna”. He smiled. “Its nice to see you have finally found your true one an only mate alpha.” He was smiling at Daniel. The doctor was a much older man, probably in his fifties if not older. His grey hair and wrinkles on his face showed his age. Still, he was good looking for an older man. Although I don’t think I have ever seen an ugly werewolf. I looked at Daniel who was having a conversation with the doctor. I had spaced out in my own thoughts. None of them were as handsome or sexy as my mate.

“So, what’s wrong with her? Why was she in so much pain?” Daniel asked, concerned, as he rubbed the side on my arm with his fingertips, sending tingles everywhere he touched.

“Well, alpha, my guess is it is the mate bond. You left here last night, right?”

“Yes, I had something I needed to take care of,” Daniel stated. I wondered what that thing was…

“And you felt the pain, right?” The doctor asked.

“Yes.”

“And the pain is gone now?” The doctor was talking to me. I shook my head. The pain had completely disappeared since Daniel had gotten in bed with me.

“Well, that’s the cause of the pain. The mate bonds.” The doctor was smiling now. “Let me take a look at the rest of you and we will get her out of here alpha.”

Daniel doesn’t move and tightens his grip around me.

“Alpha, I’m going to need you to get out of bed so I can examine the Luna.” I hear a low growl come from Daniel and the doctor and nurse bow their head in submission.

“Daniel, its okay.” I smiled at him. He hesitates but kisses me on the top of my head and gets up. He stands by the door with his arms crossed over his chest. He looks so damn sexy standing there watching the doctor. I know I had a stupid grin on my face because when Daniel finally looks at my face and away from what the doctor was doing, he relaxes and smiles at me. How did I ever deserve this man?

The doctor began to remove the blanket and pull up my gown. A loud growl came from Daniel as he grabs the doctor’s hand to stop him from raising my gown any further.

“Alpha, I have no interest in your mate, I am just doing my job. She had a broken rib that I need to check on, if that is okay.” The doctor said, not to back down.

“Its okay. I’m okay.” I said to Daniel. I rub his arm that is holding the doctor’s hand. He relaxes at my touch and releases the doctor. His eyes do not move from the doctor as he examines my body. My body is still bruised, but when the doctor touches where my broken rib once was, it's not painful.

“Well, I would say you are all healed apart from the bruising. Your leg looks to be healed as well. Alpha, she is free to take home. She needs to take it easy and rest to fully recover. Within a day or two she should be back to completely normal. You young lady, need to eat more. You are severely underweight.” The doctor looked at me, concerned, looked almost with pity. I hated people who looked at me with pity.

“Yes, sir I will.” I said, looking away and back at Daniel.

“Okay, I’ll get the paperwork together now and you are free to take her back to the packed house.” The doctor shakes Daniels' hand and him and the nurse leave the room.
