As Desmond stood there, feeling slightly embarrassed by his awkward remark, Mattie's brothers finally composed themselves. One of them, a lanky young man with a mischievous grin, spoke up, "Nah, you pass, mate! But don't worry, we'll keep an eye on you, just to be sure!" The other brother, a more reserved and serious-looking individual, nodded in agreement.
Desmond couldn't help but chuckle, relieved by their response. He extended his hand towards them, "It's great to finally meet you guys properly. I've heard so much about you both."
The lanky brother shook Desmond's hand enthusiastically, "Likewise! I'm Jake, and this here is my brother, Mike."
