He had been trying to avoid confronting the real culprits behind Emilia's accident. But now that she was gone…he needed to talk to someone, anyone, who might know about it. Maybe he was being overly cautious, but the whole thing bothered him. He couldn't explain why he was so afraid but he knew he couldn't stand by and watch as Emilia suffered because of him. If he was lucky enough that the person responsible for everything was still free, he knew that he could convince the man that he had done nothing wrong and that it would only benefit Emilia if he was able to get justice. He had no doubt that there were plenty of witnesses who could corroborate any testimony he might give. That's not what scared him though. The idea that he was actually putting his own reputation aside was unsettling.
