Edward blinked as he snapped out of his train of thoughts, blinking rapidly to get rid of the image he saw in his mind. He blinked several times to make sure he wasn't imagining things. Once he felt like he was safe enough, he looked at Rachel once again.
"Y-yeah," he replied. "I'm fine."
Rachel nodded slowly, her eyes flickering around before landing back on Edward. Her eyes narrowed, and Edward swore that he could practically see the cogs turning in her brain as she tried to figure out a way to bring it up. She eventually opened her mouth, only to close it again before starting again. This time it took her several tries to open her mouth again.
