It was sweet, Mattie thought, and somewhat adorable. The pair worked quietly together in comfortable silence. As the day dragged on, the painkillers started working quickly as they numbed the side effects from whatever had caused Mattie's stomachache in the first place. Soon, Mattie found herself yawning frequently as exhaustion began to set in. "Would you like a nap?" Mrs. Hirsch asked, glancing up briefly from where she was stirring the contents of a pan on the stove. "Um…" Mattie trailed off, frowning slightly as a sudden wave of dizziness washed over her.
