The night before Sandi's 17th birthday, the girls were hanging out by the waterfall. Around 11, Sandi's wolf, Cassie, spoke up in her head.
We need to get to the woods, it's almost time to shift, Cassie said.
Sandi almost freaked out. "Maxi, Cassie said I'm going to shift," she said, frantically. Maxi did her best to soothe her friend while she linked her aunt and uncle to come to the waterfall.
They arrived within twenty minutes. Maxi told them what was happening when they got there. Chad and Franki were both shocked. Neither one of them knew anything about Sandi's history, family or pack. So they had no idea why she was shifting early.
