Episode 1: The Letter

For two decades, Elena had lived with a story she had never questioned. Her father, Daniel, always insisted that Adrian—the father of the man Elena once loved—had stolen money from their construction company and deliberately ruined it.

The accusation had done more than destroy a business. It had shattered a friendship, turned relatives into enemies, and forced Elena and Marcus to bury feelings neither of them had truly forgotten.

Then, on a stormy night, someone slipped an envelope beneath Elena’s apartment door.

Inside was an old photograph.

She and Marcus stood together in the picture, smiling before the family feud had begun. Her hands trembled when she turned it over.

A handwritten message covered the back:

“Your families were given a false story. Find out where the money really went.”

Elena barely slept.

The next morning, she returned to the abandoned library where she and Marcus had once hidden from their families’ arguments.

Marcus was waiting.

“You received it,” he said.

Elena stared at him. “You knew someone would contact me?”

“I knew the truth wouldn't stay buried forever.”

He explained that their fathers had once built a successful company together. Daniel managed operations, while Adrian controlled the finances. Before the company collapsed, a huge sum disappeared.

Records seemed to implicate Adrian.

But Adrian claimed the documents had been falsified.

Before either man could prove anything, anonymous threats warned them to stop investigating.

“Who sent them?” Elena whispered.

Marcus shook his head.

“We never discovered the person.”

Then another envelope appeared on the table.

Inside were five chilling words:

“You know me better than you think.”
