Edward's pov I opened the door and stepped inside, shutting it behind me with a dull click. After such a long day. Silence. Finally. My stomach growled, loud. I ignored it as always. No time to eat, no patience to care. Shower—that's what I need. The infernal heat inside this damn suit had cooked me alive all day. I loosened my tie. Probably the best decision I'd made today, “I'm ruined.” I headed for the hallway, running a hand through my messy hair. The world stopped the moment I saw her. Halfway up the stairs. Hugging a book tight in her chest. She held it up to her face. Not to read—to breathe it in. She actually closed her eyes for a second, like the scent meant something. Then I realized. She wasn’t in her usual shapeless hoodie and jeans. Just a loose t-shirt. Thin, soft. N
