Alex immediately rose from his chair and bowed slightly to her. "He's working." He straightened up and gave an emotionless smile. "Oh..." She nodded slightly, looking around. She took a deep breath and glanced at Alex with a half-smile. "Can you take me somewhere?" She asked silently, with no expression on her face.
Alex smiled and nodded at her. "Wherever you want to go." He motioned her to the door, then picked up the car keys from the table. Isla gave him a half-smile and followed him out of the mansion.
