Searching

Lord Nico After he spoke with Alpha Bryer, Lord Nico instructed his men that they were to go out in ten groups of five, fan out, bring the search dogs and look for Lord Evinston's stronghold. He informed them that they were not to attack, but return with the location. Once he received the information he needed, he advised three of his spys that they were to go there and gather Intel. He told them to memorize the area so they can create a map upon their return. They were to learn Lord Evingston's weaknesses and his strengths, the size of his army, type of weapons he possesses, see if they can find an inconspicuous way into his building and where he sleeps. He told them to be prepped, because he anticipated learning where Lord Evinston's compound is anytime now. He then contacted his Messenger, Clay Harris, a vampire who was as swift as the wind. He would have considered him to choose a path in war, but he was slender and did not possess the size and muscular physique of the warrior vampires. Besides, he loved being a messenger because he was good at it. He protected the message and was agile and fast. After he completed those tasks, he went to his bedroom to find Lyla. He missed her already. He had to see her. When he arrived, he discovered she wasn't there. On her vanity was a note that said: Good Morning Love, I went for a walk in the garden to collect some flowers. I'll be back in a bit. Lyla He hurried out to the garden to see her and what he saw was a vision. She was in a long, flowing, white dress, with a white hat to shade her from the bright sun, collecting flowers in a basket. He was so overtaken by her ethereal beauty. He just watched her for awhile, admiring her. "Oh Darling, it is so good to see you!" she said surprised when she saw him. She went over to him and kissed him a peck on the lips. He grabbed her, pulled her against him, and kissed her with the intensity of a wildfire. He couldn't resist her. She was his everything and she was his, all his. He then peppered her neck with kisses. He felt the urge to bite, to taste her, but he resisted. It isn't the time yet. It's too soon. He didn't want to scare her. "It is a most immense joy to bask in your enchanting beauty," he whispered in her ear before he continued kissing her neck. "I love you, Lyla. I really, completely, utterly am in love with you." "I love you, too, more than words could ever express," she said. He continued his kisses on her neck, to her jawline, to her rosebud lips and he kissed her passionately, pausing only to utter one word, "Mine." The magical moment was broken when his Second-in-Command, Lord Jess Fields, called out to him, "Lord Nico, it is time to resolve the people's disputes. Everyone is already in the throne room. That was one thing the vampires would do that the werewolves did, too. In fact, even the humans did it. Every morning he would sit on his throne in a room filled with people sitting, either waiting to be heard, or waiting for their loved ones to be finished. He arrived in the throne room and everyone stood and bowed toward him. He gave a nod of his head and everyone sat and returned to talking. He sat on his throne and his Second-in-Command stepped forward and said, "We will now hear the case of Debbie Reynolds vs. Dave Wakeshaw." Everyone stopped their talking and paid close attention. The two stepped forward, in front of Lord Nico. Ms. Reynolds bowed and began to speak, "Dave's dog bit me. He should be punished and have to pay for my medical bills." "Mr. Wakeshaw is this true?" asked Lord Nico. "Yes, but she walked up to the dog. I had it on a leash. It is one of our Search and Rescue dogs. He doesn't like to be approached and she walked up to him so fast, I didn't even get a chance to warn her." "Ms. Reynolds did you walk up to the leashed dog?" asked Lord Nico. She hesitated. "And, don't even think of lying to me. For that crime, you will be sent to the dungeon for a month. So, answer carefully," "I guess I did, but it was a long leash and I had no idea the dog wasn't friendly," said Ms. Reynolds "You must always ask if a dog is friendly before you approach a dog you don't know. He kept it on a leash, so he followed our leash laws. You will be paying your own medical bills and remember for the future, don't just walk up to a dog you don't know and expect him to be friendly," answered Lord Nico. "You are both dismised." Jess Fields then stepped forward again. "We will now hear the case of Meredith Stone and Jackie Hernandez. Please step forward." The two women stood before Lord Nico, bowed and then Jackie Hernandez began to speak. "Greetings Lord Nico. I am here today because I lent Meredith two thousand dollars and she won't pay me back." "Ms. Stone, did she lend you this money?" asked Lord Nico. "Yeah, but it was a gift," replied Meredith. "If it was a gift, she wouldn't be here, today, trying to get her money back. And, I hardly believe someone would give you a gift of two thousand dollars. Now telll the truth or you will spend a week in the dungeon," demanded Lord Nico. "Okay, okay. Maybe she didn't say the word gift. But, I can't pay her back. I ain't got no money to give her," answered Meredith. "Then, I order you to pay her back fifty dollars a week until the debt is repaid. No matter what your job is, you can afford that. Debts must always be repaid. She was kind enough to lend you the money. The right thing to do is pay her back," ordered Lord Nico. "You are both dismissed." His day continued on. He spent thre hours resolving minor conflicts between the residents of the Coven. It was like a village, just with large, gothic buildings and small houses behind the buildings and the castle. And, just like the humans and werewolves, small conflicts arose that needed to be resolved.
