The following day, Lord Nico was in his office with Lyla, showing her what she needed to know for when she rules beside him. Their ceremony for their Companionship Union was set for Friday. " After we finish answering these building proposals, I want you to go shopping. Buy your favorite dress their for Friday's ceremony," he said as he handed her his credit card. "Buy anything you want, but make sure to also buy the formal dress for the ceremony. You will need that. The store owner is named Betty, she will help you.

After they finished, Nico remained to work on a few more things and Lyla went to the dress shop, So Chic (pronounced Sheek). When she got their she was surprised at all the shops they had between the houses and the formal, gothic, buildings that adorn the Coven. She found the dress shop, So Chic, and was surprised at how large it was. She approached the lady behind the counter and asked, "Are you Betty? Lord Nico said you could help me pick a dress for our Companionship Ceremony.

"Absolutely. I am a dress designer and owner of this shop. I would be overjoyed to assist you finding the perfect dress for such a huge occassion." She led her to the portion of the dress with the most formal, ornate, spectacular dresses. Betty selected several dresses that she draped over her arm and then she led Lyla to the dressing rooms. "Try these. They are the most lavish dresses to put on someone so lovely," said Betty. After trying on a few dresses, Lyla found the most lovely off the shoulders blue shimmering dress with a large petticoat which gave the dress volume in the skirt portion of the desk. It was low-cut, but not so much to be sleazy. The dress was elegant and grand. After purchasing the dress and thanking the very sweet shop owner, Betty, she left. She went to her room and hung the dress in her closet.

"Did you select a dress?" She took it out of the plastic and held her in front over her, joyously.

Lord Nico walked over and held his chin between his fingers and said, "Hmmmm, something is missing."

"What do you mean?" she asks confused. Her face expressing a puzzled look. He then presented her with a large, velvet, blue jewelry box and opened it before her, revealing the most elegant blue sapphire necklace, matching, dangling earrings and tennis bracelet. She gasped. "They are beautiful!"

"You're beautiful." He said as he set down the jewelry box and then went to her to kiss her. "I called the dress shop and asked Betty what color dress you bought to know what jewelry you'd need."

"You are so thoughtful," she said as she beamed the most lovely smile. The two kissed deeply and held each other close. They made love together and savored each other thoroughly.

After, they got dressed and went for a walk through the castle gardens. As they walked, they held hands and talked, having a wonderful time together. Suddenly, a villager ran up to them shouting, "FIRE, FIRE! AT THE WEAPONS STORAGE!" They both went running, following the frantic villager. Just as he said, the weapons storage was in flames. One of the worst buildings to burn, because it holds the weapons they use as defense.

Lord Nico ordered loudly, "Where is the damn firetruck!" Just a moment later the truck with the firemen came and began putting out the flames. The flames kept burning as if the water was nothing quenched. The flames of the fire licked the air as they destroyed the building. It just continued to burn. After a long while of working at it, the fire was quelched. Lord Nico walked carefully inside. "Stayout there, Love. It's not safe in here. He walked over wet, busted boards, careful to watch his step because nails were sticking up everywhere and with the water everywhere, it was easy to slip. He had to see the damage though. Most the weapons were ruined. Whoever started this fire knew what they were doing. They knew which building to burn. He doubted this was an accident.

He went over to the investigator's office and said, "Investigator Perris, I need you to investigate a fire. I need to know if it's arson." Investigator Perris left with them to investigate the fire. He went to work looking for clues as he cautiously walked through the burn site.

"The fire started over here. It is no an electrical fire because there's nothing here to start it. I'll get my dog. He is trained to niff out accelerants," said Investigator Perris. After taking several pictures, he left. When he returned, a German Shepard with him, he walked into the fire area and sure enough, the dog walked over to a window that was busted in and he went and sat down, indicating that he smelled accelerants there. "It's arson, alright. He just signaled to me that someone used accelerants to start the fire over here and it spread from there."

"Evingston planted a spy here! I know it. It was sabotage!" Lord Nico was irate. He went to the Head of Construction, Greg, and asked that the debris be cleared out and that he begin rebuilding the building as soon as possible. He then went over to one of his Supply Runners, Tommy, and asked him to make a run for weapons. "Buy swords, axes, halberd, guns, everything. We need training equipment for those who fight hand-to-hand combat. Please make this run right away. Take someone with you," Lord Nico ordered.

He then turned to Lyla and hugged her. As he held her, he inhaled her scent. He needed this. "Baby, without those weapons we are defenseless," he said, exasperated.

"You are not defenseless. You have well-trained soldiers that are fast, they are strong. We will get through this, but until then, we aren't totally vulnerable. Not with your army protecting us," said Lyla.

"You always know the right thing to say," said Nico and he kissed her.
