Lord Evingston
Lord Evingston Wheeler sat on his makeshift throne, under rougher conditions than he was accustomed, too. He took all the rebels, except two, which he deliberately left behind to be spies and saboteurs and basically thorns in the side of Lord Nico. Lord Evingston made a lot of promises he knew he'd never be able to fulfill except one: to destroy all the werewolves. If he had enough vampires, he would first destroy Lord Nico, then the werewolf packs. He abhored the truce and planned to abolish it.
Lord Evingston was tall, lean with a narrow, pinched nose, black and grey hair which he pulled back into a small, low man-bun. He always dressed classy and even wore a top hat as if he were from the late eighteenth century...because he was. He sent all the rebels to go attack the Coven of Lord Nico now that he had received word that the weapons storage was destroyed. The Attack served two purposes. It will allow him to send the second spy back in there. Now that the second spy, McKinley, reported the successful sabotage of the weapons storage was complete, he can now return. The other purpose of the attack was a distraction so he could get Lord Nico's love interest, Lyla. Then, he would offer her life, for his unconditional surrender. After Lord Nico abdicates his throne, Lord Evingston knew he could take control of the whole Coven then. Until then, he needed more vampires. That means, after his rebels return, he would send them into human lands to make more vampires.
After waiting a full day, his rebels succeeded, and dragged a fighting Lyla before him. Her wrists were chained, her ankles were chained, she was blindfolded and gagged, yet still she fought. They stood her before them, two guards physically restrained her as a third removed her gag and blindfold.
"LET ME GO, YOU WRETCHED FOOL! LET ME GO!" she hollered.
"My Dear, it is so lovely to see you. I see why Lord Nico is quite taken with you. You are an exquisite beauty," said Lord Evingston. Furious, she attempted to change into her wolf form, however the serum the guard injected her with earlier, temporarily prevents the change.
"I AM GOING TO RIP YOU APART IF YOU DON'T RELEASE ME NOW!" she yelled as she struggled mightily.
"That's enough of all that hostility. Take her to the dungeon and keep injecting her with that serum every eight hours," ordered Lord Evingston.
The guard returned and reported, "She is locked up, Lord Evingston. We lost a lot of men in the attack in acquiring her. I hope she was worth it."
"Don't backtalk me, you ingrate! It is worth it to forward with my plan to overtake the Coven. She is key in this!" Lord Evingston shouted angrily. "Now, I need a message sent. Go get Leonard."
"Yes, Lord Evingston," said the guard ashe left to retrieve him. When Leonard, the Messenger, arrived, he bowed and asked, "You called for me?"
"Yes, go to the Coven of Lord Nico, tell him I have his love interest, Lyla, and that if he abdicates his thrown, I return her, unharmed. If he fails, I will kill her and return her. Either way, he gets her back in one week. He has less than a week to decide. We shall see where his heart truly lies," ordered Lord Evingston.
"It will be done. I will return with his answer," said Leonard as he turned to leave, swiftly carrying the message to Lord Nico.
"This is wonderful!" he said as he folded his fingers together. "I feel like celebrating. Have it arranged that we have a bonfire with refreshments. I want everyone there to celebrate with me," said Lord Evingston.
The rebels gathered wood together, singing, laughing and in good spirits. They felt like they were winning and this put them in a jubilant mood. Others retrieved drinks and put them in buckets of ice. And, the musically talented went and grabbed guitars to play music.
Once the bonfire was lit, everyone cheered loudly. Everyone was drinking, singing, dancing, laughing, and everyone was in full revelry. "Go get the prisoner, I want to see her," said Lord Evingston, full of drink. His men agreed and brought her, still fighting in chains, before him. "Sit her down beside me," he said.
"I don't think that's a good idea, Sir," one guard said.
"Do not tell me what is or isn't a good idea is. Just sit and restrain her," Lord Evingston said. He then turned to Lyla, caressing her hair, and said, "My Dear, choose me and I will make you my companion. You will rule beside me. Lord Nico is about to lose his throne. Forget him."
"NEVER! I will never stop loving my Mate, NEVER! AND I WOULD NEVER CHOOSE YOU!," she spat at him as she struggled against the guards restraining her. She then stomped on one's foot and bit the other one's hand, but due to her leg and wrist shackles, she was helpless to escape.
"Put her back in the dungeon and sedate her, and don't forget the serum!" he yelled as they immediately began to drag the battling woman back to her cell. Lord Evingston just grumbled, "She's a fool. A lovely girl like that, with Nico, is outrageous. She should choose a winning side."
The personal guard, Benton, said "She's too wild, Sir. You need a lady more refined."
"She is refined. I saw her with him. She is graceful, elegant, a beauty. She chose that insolent cad over me!?"
"He is not an insolent cad...she chose him because he has qualities that match her own," said Benton.
"Whose side are you on?" asked Evingston, giving Benton a disgruntled look.
"Hahaha, you, always you. I want those werewolves gone more than anyone. I'm just saying, you aren't going to be able to pull those two apart," said Benton.
Lord Evingston replied, "Soon, we shall see."
