The Rescue

Alpha Bryer Alpha Bryer couldn't believe he lost her. He fired those guards that failed to bring her back. He wanted to throw them in the damn dungeon, but he knew that was too harsh. After all, they tried. He sat in his office with his elbows on his desk and his face in his hands. He was so distraught. She was about to become his Luna and that scoundrel, Nico, kidnapped her. He had to get her back. He loved her so much, he couldn't let her go. But, what was he to do. He couldn't attack Nico's Coven, his army outnumbered his. Many men would die and he would accomplish nothing. No, he had to be sly about this. He had to send someone in, quietly, to get her out. But, who would he send? Just then, Beta Reyes, his second-in-command, knocked on his door and was invited in. He bowed and said, "Greetings Alpha Bryer, we have replaced the soldiers that were fired as you requested." "Excellent, you always come through, Beta Reyes. I have decided that I need you for a very important mission. I want you to accompany me to rescue our future Luna." "I appreciate your faith in me, Alpha Bryer, and I am eager to help you retrieve the Luna," replied Beta Reyes. "Fantastic, we leave tomorrow evening. It will take a few hours to get there, then we enter under the cover of darkness. We will arrive in the back and search for a way in. We can't attack the front gates, we'd be slaughtered. It's not much of a plan, but it's all I got. I will bring grapling hooks in case we need to climb the wall," said Alpha Bryer. "If they catch us, it is likely we'll be killed. Best-case-scenario, we get thrown into their dungeon for life," said Beta Reyes. "I know. But, she is worth it. If you don't wan to go, I understand," said Alpha Bryer. "Nonsense. I am honored you called upon me to be your right-hand-man," replied Beta Reyes. The following morning they head out, both dressed in black to blend in with the night. Beta Reyes slung the backpack of gear into the jeep. The two left with Gamma Stevens in charge in their stead. By night, they arrived. They parked the jeep and Beta Reyes slung the bag of gear over his shoulder as they proceeded forward. They arrived in the back of the Coven, and searched, close to the wall, so as to not be seen. They looked for a break in the wall or some way in, but found nothing. The wall was impenetrable. They had no choice, they had to climb over which was less stealthy and they risked being seen. "We need to climb over," whispered Alpha Bryer. Beta Reyes went into the utility bag and pulled out the grappling hook and handed it to Alpha Breyer. Alpha Breyer threw it into the air, attempting to hook it to the wall. He missed. It made a clunk against the wall and then fell to the ground. He picked it up and tried again. Again, he missed. Tenacious as ever, he picked it up and threw it, trying to hook it on the very tall wall, and it hooked. "Yes!" he whispered excitedly. He then proceeded to climb the rope and jumped over after he got to the top. Beta Reyes soon followed. They quietly walked with their back to the wall to try to not be seen by anyone who might have been staring out the window at that time. They continued inching forward, silently until they saw it: the castle. He knew that must be where Nico is and that would be where he kept her captured. He went to the back of the castle and found a balcony he could use to get into the building. They through up the grappling hook and this time got it on the first try. It hooked around the hand rail of the balcony easily. He climbed up and soon, Beta Reyes followed. He was in luck that the balcony door was unlocked. He couldn't break a window because it would make too much noise. The room he entered was empty. He proceeded down the hall where he ran into two guards. One he grappled with and then put a sleeper hold on him until he was out. Beta Reyes got in a fist fight with the guard and managed to knock him out. They then continued to walk down the hall where he ran into a group of men walking with several guards. "Curse my luck!" he yelled as he started fighting hand-to-hand combat with the guards. The men they were guarding ran. He knocked out one only two have two more on him. Then a third. Then a fourth. He looked over at Reyes and he had been knocked unconscious. No matter how he hard he fought, and he fought mightily, throwing guard after guard off of him, but it was no use. There were nine of them now, and they managed to hold him down and cuff his legs and wrists behind his back. He was brought before Nico. Nico, who he thought he was a run-of-the-mill werewolf who oddly had no smell. Now he was dressed in a tailor cut suit worth a fortune. "Alpha Bryer, you dare sneak into my compound to kidnap my Companion. Well, that will never happen. She chose me. You have no business here!" Nico shouted at him, only a couple inches from his face. Nico was irate. "Throw him in the dungeon with his Beta. Leave them there for the rest of their existence!" Alpha Bryer and Beta Reyes were drug away. They were taken down a spiral staircase down to a dank, dark, dingy dungeon. Alpha Bryer was in utter despair. He failed at his mission. He lost his chance to get his Luna back They roughly threw them in separate cells. The only thing in his cell was a bench, a metal toilet with no lid, and stone walls and bars surrounding him. This was where he was stuck for the rest of his life.
