The War

Nico Lord Hunter turned to the saboteur in his interrogation room and said, "You burned down our weapons once. We rebuilt and restocked it. You tried to burn our food supply. We caught you. For this, we would put you in the dungeon for the rest of your life. But, we need you to deliver a message to Lord Evingston so you are incredibly lucky. Tell him, I will abdicate. My throne is his, just give me back Lyla." "Really, you're not going to kill me!?" he whimpered. "Tempting, but not this time. You may be a little worm, but I need you to deliver the message," said Lord Hunter. He then motioned for the guards to take him to the front gate and release him. They did. And, after he scurried off to deliver the message and was just out of sight, two of Lord Hunter's men followed him to see where he was going. Lord Hunter needed to know where Lord Evingston's stronghold was. By following this fool, he would finally know. Armies of vampires, armed with weapons filled the large area by the front gate. A massive army of werewolves, either armed or in wolf form, came out of their hiding spots in the woods. Hundreds were gathered to defeat a common enemy and to rescue Lyla. They marched through the woods, led by Alpha Bryer and Lord Hunter. Determined and ready for war, they marched on. They went on for hours, until dark. One of the two men following the saboteur snuck back to report that he was sleeping on the side of a tree and Alpha Bryer and Lord Hunter ordered their men to camp for the night. They all slept. The next day, in the early morning, the other of the two men came back and reported that h was on the move. Both Commanders and Leaders, informed their men. Alpha Bryer through a mind-link and Lord Hunter through whispers passed along, men stirring each other awake. The hundreds of soldiers moved on. They again, traveled for hours. Then, they stopped. One of the men who were following the saboteur came back and said he just went into his stronghold. It's just over the hill. The men creeped up the hill slowly and quietly. When they arrived at the top, they came rushing down, shooting the men at the front gate before they had a chance to draw their weapons. The largest of werewolves slammed into the front gate, crashing through. They all fired their weapons, killing the enemy vampires in droves. When they ran out of bullets, they pulled out swords, warhammers, halberds, maces, and various weapons to crush, slice and stab through the wall the enemy formed together with their bodies. Nico wielded a warhammer and did so with great ease with his vampire strength. One enemy vampire came charging at him with a sword, but he dodged out of the way. The man fell and he crushed his organs by bringing the warhammer down into his guts. As he stood up, another sword was swinging at him, but he ducked back and then raised his warhammer into the air fast and let it come crashing down on the man's head, obliterating his skull into fractions of pieces. His head was completely mush. Another vampire had rushed into him, knocking Nico to the ground. The opponent raised his sword in the air to kill Nico. Nico kicked him with his foot, knocking him down. Nico jumped to his feet and went down to the ground and began punching the man until he was unconscious. He then grabbed his sword and began to move forward toward Lord Evingston. He began to parry with him, and Nico could easily tell that Lord Evingston was skilled, but Nico knew he was better and was going to win. Lord Evingston knew it, too. Just then, two other vampires joined the fray. Now Nico was parrying with three vampires and now he knew he was going to lose, but then, Evingston ran away like a coward. Nico front kicked one of the vampires and sliced the head off the other one. He then drove his sword into the heart of the one he knocked to the ground. Destroy the head or heart of the vampire and he dies. There was an opening through the fighting toward the largest house, where Lord Evingston was most likely staying. And, where he stayed, was probably where he kept his love locked up. Nico's number one goal was saving his beloved Lyla. He ran to the building and charged up the stairs with incredible speed. He heard a pounding. He looked in the direction where the sound was coming from and rushed down the hall. He got to the door where frantic pounding was taking place. He asked, "Lyla, is that you?" "Yes, it's me. He locked me in here!" she shouted through the door. "Get back! I'm going to knock it down," he shouted back. He then got back and then ran toward the door slamming into it. It didn't budge. It was reinforced. He tried four more times when he realized he wasn't getting in that way. "I'll be back. I need a gun to shoot out the lock," he said as he ran back to the battlefield. He saw one vampire firing his pistol toward his men. He came up behind the vampire and snapped his neck so hard, he ripped the head clear off! He threw his head aside and grabbed the gun of the enemy soldier. He ran back to Lyla's door and shot the lock several times and finally, the door was opened. She ran into his arms and he hugged her, holding her tight. "My god, I missed you. I was crushed when I found out you were kidnapped. I am so sorry I let this happen," he said. He then kissed her with wild abandon. He loved her so intensely and that kissed showed it. "Come on, let's get out of here," he said as they ran out of the building.
