Mason was a business man, busy a lot, but never so much that he didn't make time for his beloved family. He loved his wife and daughter more than life itself and he went out of his way to make sure they lived a comfortable life. It was partly how he expressed his love: by providing for those who mean most to him. His wife, Carol, was a vision. Even in a day dress and apron, she looked heavenly to him.
