Bells chimed, echoing softly. The aroma of cardamom spice filled the air. The draped tapestry swayed gently from the walls, catching the faint gleam of candlelight. Peace. Everything seemed calm. And it was.
Seren took the sacred cup, caressing it with his fingers. "The base of Annoulha.." He trailed, skimming his eyes above the valley in front of him from his sitting position. This is will be a good place to build for leisure. People from different lands come here for surveys, visits, admiration. He could build more. There is always a competitor, everywhere. He can't afford to lose this reputation he's built in years.
"My lord."
Frowning, Seren narrowed his eyes but didn't turn to see who was behind him. "Place your complaint I don't have all time." He said bluntly.
The one behind him bowed. And bowed again. "My Lord. Sedymon is here. He has refused to stay at the gate, and he's injuring anyone who tried to stop his steps—"
"Injuring?" Seren asked. 'Then he must be in a good mood' . he thought. He usually kills. Seren felt anger boil within him. But he kept his cool. " Tell him to wait at my throne room . "
" Yes, My Lord. "
When the servant left, Seren placed down his hands, as if trying to gather air, then a faint black, smoky glow emerges, curling and twisting towards the direction of a faintly gleaming, Golden brazier. The effect made his eyes glow amber. And it weirdly, strangely, looked like he was in...pain.
Sedymon stood at the throne room. His aura dominant. Rude. Powerful. He didn't move, almost like a statue. He was aware of Seren's presence as he descended down the stairs. And he sniffed his usual charm perfume. Sedymon smirked, looking at Seren who was staring back at him with some kind of anxious gleam in his eyes. This man wasted a whole seven minutes for a smell that won't affect him. He watched as the old man sat on the throne. Admirable.
" Sedymon. I heard you injured my men. Now that's not approved. "
"They had a chance to live. And a chance to understand the fact that I hate obstacles. "
"It's not your land." Seren spoke sternly.
Sedymon smirked. "Your'e right. It's my territory. You know how to back off, don't ya? "
Silence ensued for a moment. Seren scanned Sedymon's eyes again, searching for some signs whatever. He saw none. How could this be? This smell was the way to weaken an Alpha!! Why is it not working?!
"I suppose you must have noticed 'my' valley in Annoulha. And you have come for it. Well you are not getting i– "
"I suppose I have noticed it all. And I will get it. " Sedymon spoke calmly, yet with authority. " You have taken so many people's lives for a land that wasnt yours. And now, I take it back from you. Back to the people it belongs to. "
Seren chuckles. "They are all dead, Young-old boy. Did you know when I took this land? "
" Did you wipe their generation? "
"They dare not try to even step on it. I banished them. Long , long, ago. "
" Interesting. "
Everywhere seemed nostalgic. But Sedymon wasn't ready for any delays. He was impatient.
" Guard!!!! " Seren yelled, and a swift sound if breeze was heard followed by a clash of swords. Sedymon was too quick for that guard, regardless that the guard's a vampire. In a s***h of a second he felt the guard coming at him from behind.
And in the s***h of a second, he killed him.
Seren watched in horror as Sedymon ripped off the guard's head from his neck, tearing it so savagely like a mad man, growling as he did so. No one could say anything.
Of course they couldn't.
Wiping blood on the dismembered body, he looked up at Seren with the same hungry look he had while ripping his servants head off. " Still doubtful about leaving this place ? "
