Seren watched as Sedymon destroyed the throne. He could only watch. The cracks and particles formed into a dusty mist then disappeared into the diamond in the hilt of Sedymon's sword. He could hear the voices of his servants, telling him to step away from the throne. What did it matter?
Well it should. The mist was getting stronger.
Sedymon seemed to care less about it. He kept hitting the throne with his bare hands, breaking more. The power from this throne can be enough to save the goddess of Annoulha. Then he'll think about Seren much later.
Seren curled his fists, to grasp some control of his mind to calm it, it didn't work. He must look composed throughout the whole scene. But that deep pit in him whispers how unnecessary it is, because Sedymon will read him . He watched the throne he killed, betrayed to get, all crushed. He couldn't do anything. There was only a feeling of nostalgia. Everywhere was tense. Some servants mumbled from their spot if Seren is dead already, for he hasn't moved even so a little. He's just standing perfectly still, his Golden cape dancing in the dusty mist. But some watched Sedymon more.
His moves. His stature. The dusty mint couldn't blur all about him. He was still visible, strangely. While Seren's silhouette could be faintly outlined.
Sedymon was a definition of beauty. He had no flaws . His dark, silky yet tousled hair was long to his waist length, with the left an right side tied up at the upper mid-region with golden twigs. His face was an epitome of perfection. His Amber eyes gave a confident dominance that demeans people at once. Many people feared him. Some believed he was sent by the goddess.
It doesn't matter.
By the corner of his eyes, Sedimon looked in time to see Seren disappearing. He stood at the spot, his eyes narrowing. He didn't find him. Wordlessly, he disappeared as well. The throne was empty. Just the few cracks on the formal spot would make it believable that something like that was there before.
All the servants waited for moments. When nothing happened, a cry of victory erupted from everyone. They rushed to their homes to gather all they could that belonged to them. Many years ago Seren had captured their ancestors into Annoulha. A generation came, served till death, another rose , but the same pattern was followed till death . That was the circle. People had no liberty, no voice. For over a hundred years. He also killed many of them, those who refused0 submission to him as king. He killed brutally to inform, and warn.
Like dry sand being blown away, People left the base of Annoulha. Seren watched them leave. There is no need to go after them. At least not now until he's back . Strangely, he wondered why Sedymon didn't come to find him. Or he couldn't?
Seren found himself laughing at the thought . He could. He knew he could.
Sedymon watched Seren from a distance. He waited for some action. He got none. Good. He turned and disappeared.
Feeling followed, Seren quickly looked to his side. Nothing. Slowly, He tore his gaze from there, to Annoulha. Empty, like when he came in.
He will make him pay. He will.
