Arella’s POV Trying to open my eyes, I more or less expected everything to hurt. Or that the light would be too bright, sending spikes of pain through my skull. The light did feel a little too sharp, but one blink later and my eyesight had adjusted to the bright light. And there was no pain either, which – all things considered – felt impossible. Yet I felt fine – and oh so wrong at the same time… My body felt different but calm and relaxed. It felt like waking up after a surprisingly good nap.
