CHAPTER FIVE RUNAWAY-LOVER CHERYL'S POV The harsh glare of the morning sun filters into the room almost blinding me as I stir awake. First thing I feel is the intense throbbing of my hard and a sour taste in my mouth. I rush into the bathroom and throw up all the contents of my stomach – mostly alcohol from last night – and when I return to the room, I notice the mistake I had sprawled naked on my bed. At least I had chosen a gorgeous male, I tell myself and begin picking my things from the ground. I remember only snippets of the things I said and did last night and I did not think I could bare the shame of this lovely stranger waking up and still meeting me here. I open my purse and pull out a wad of cash I leave in the small bedside table. Perhaps he would need it, perhaps not but I hope it is enough to keep his mouth shut. I can not tell if he recognized my face or worse acquainted with my parents but he must know that this is – was – a mistake. I contemplate leaving a note too but decided against it. There is every chance that he did not recognize me and I would not want to complicate this further. I pick my shoes in my hand and tiptoe out of the room. *** Shaun’s POV I toss and turn until I am awake. Not fully. I had no bottle of alcohol last night but my body felt heavy. The memories of last night floods me like a broken dam and I suddenly remember how I came to be in this suite. I had been with a lady. A drunk lady – but a sophisticated one nonetheless. This was her room, she had brought us here where we had fantastic s*x. I look around, wondering where she might have gone. Perhaps she had gone to wash up, I know I smelt awful and she had been drinking. She would smell worse.
