Chapter 22

After Rayan reached home, he was told that Mara was waiting for him.

"What are you doing here?" He asked immediately he entered the sitting room.

"Rayan." She stood up and smiled.

"I've been waiting for you ever since what took you so long," she asked, but he ignored her and went upstairs. She followed him as well.

"Did I tell you to follow me?" he looked at her.

"Why are you being so cold towards me. I came to see you, " she said.

"I don't need visitor. As you can see, I'm really tired right now. "He said

"I can make you feel better." she stepped forward and placed her hands on his chest.

"I can do whatever you want. Just tell me what you need."she said,her hands roaming all over his chest. She was about to kiss him when he stepped back.

"What? Don't you want me to kiss you anymore." She asked.

"Go home, Mara. I'm not in the mood," he said and entered his room.

"Not in the mood, seriously," she snapped, following behind him.

"Since you started dating that witch,you have distant yourself from everyone. What magic has she put on you? " She frowns, but Rayan ignores her.

"Rayan, I'm talking to you. What are...

"f**k Mara..." he yelled and she flinched.

"I'm not in the mood, is that f*****g hard for you to understand and leave Rose out of this. I'm tired f*****g you, is that what you want to hear " he yelled at her.

"R...Rayan," her tears began to flow.

"Rayan, I love you," she said, and he rolled his eyes.

"Too bad, I don't do love,"

"You don't do love then what about her. Why are you so attracted to her? " she asked, but he didn't talk.

"No matter how much you pushed me away, I will not let her take you away from me." She hissed and walked out.

"What the heck?" Rayan scoffed and laid down. A message beem on his phone, and it was from Rose. He didn't waste time calling her.

"Are you sleeping? Sorry if I disturb you," she said, and he chuckled.

"I wasn't. Why did you call. Are you missing me so much butterfly? " he asked, and she smiled.

"Well, I couldn't sleep, so I thought of calling you."

"Wow, I'm amazed that you are thinking about me,"

"I wasn't thinking about you. You're are so full of yourself, " she said, and he chuckled

"Let's do video call, I want to see your face," he said

"Alright."

They ended the voice call and did a video call.

Ros was lying down in bed.

"Uhm, Marissa called me today, she want us to hang out tomorrow," she said, and he nodded.

"That will be nice. You two will get along pretty well," he said.

"Has your dad contacted you?" he asked, and she nodded.

"Yeah, he did. He said that he was busy, so he couldn't reach out to us, " she said.

"Your father is a wonderful person. He's doing his best for you and Carrie."

"Your dad is also good. You know raising a child, especially a boy child, it isn't easy, " she said.

"I wasn't raised by my dad," he blurted out.

"Ohh really, was it your mom who raised you?" she asked, and he nodded.

"Then where is she, I would like to meet her," she smiled.

"She's not worth Rose, I don't want you to meet her,"

"But why?"

"You won't understand," he said, and she frowned.

"You keep hiding things from me. Why? Don't you trust me? "

"It's not like that, I don't want to bore you with my stories," he said, and she didn't say anything. She didn't want to pressure him, so she stopped asking him about his mom and decided to talk about her mom instead.

"Well, as for me, my mother was a good woman, but nowadays, society doesn't appreciate good people. My mom was r***d by seven men, and she died from internal bleeding. "

"I'm sorry about that. Men who r**e are cruel people. "

"You are right. It was a party she went on with her friends and she was drugged and that was how she met her cruel fate. After that incident, I used to despise men a lot, I saw them as evil monsters except my dad, "

"I understand why you did that. It must have been too much to handle, but did your father catched the culprits, " Rayan asked.

"Yeah, he did, and they were sentenced to jail for a lifetime," she said, and he smiled.

"I'm glad your mom got justice. You know, sometimes it's good to let go of the past, focus on your future. We can't change the past, but we can change our past, so you don't have to hold unto your sorrows all the time, " he said, and she nodded.

"Thanks for understanding me," she said, and he smiled.

"You're welcome. "....

They both were talking until sleep carried them.

The next day on campus,Eric met Melvin right to the parking lot.

"Why weren't you picking up my calls yesterday?" Eric asked.

"I was busy with something," Melvin said.

"Busy with what?" he asked, and Melvin looked at him.

"Did you miss me that much?" Melvin stepped closer,

"Miss who," Eric scoffed, and Melvin smirck.

"Really," Melvin pinned him against the car.

"W... What are you doing? " Eric asked, looking at Melvin straight in the eyes.

"I love your perfume scent. It's nice," Melvin said and stepped away from Eric, who just looked at him.

"See you in later," he said and walked away, leaving Eric stuttered.

"What is wrong with him? Why is he acting so strange?"Eric thought to himself,

Marissa met up with Rose at the cafe.

"Sorry for keeping you waiting." She said and sat down.

"It's ok, I have already ordered something for us," Rose said, and Marissa smiled. Food is her best friend.

"You know I'm kind of happy that Ray found himself a sweet girl like you," she said, and Rose looked at her.

"You talked like you've been knowing him for a long time," Rose said, and Marissa smiled.

"Of course, we are siblings," she said, and Rose raised her brows in confusion.

"Just forget it, you won't understand, but when the time is right, I will tell you everything, sister-in-law," she said, and Rose chuckled.

"Sister-in-law, cute name"

"That's what you're, my sister-in-law, right?" she asked, and Rose nodded.

"I can see that you are a transfer student." Rose looked at Marissa.

"Yeah, my cousin and I transferred here," she said.

"Ooh, you have a cousin here," Rose asked.

"Yeah, a cousin you don't want to know. My cousin is a wierdo, " she said, and Rose laughed.

"I can see that you too don't get along well,"

"More than that, we can't even stand each other's presence," she said, eating her food.

Titus and Rayan sat in the library to do research.

"Sarah, birthday is coming, I was thinking of what to surprise her with," Titus said.

"I can see that you two have already made up." Rayan chuckled.

"What present should I get for her? She's hosting a party. "

"She's your girlfriend, you know what to get her," Rayan said.

"You're right. My parents are returning back soon,maybe I can give her a surprise engagement, " he said, and Rayan looked at him

"That will be nice, Sarah is a good person. The two of you are perfect for each other, " Rayan said, and Titus smiled.

"Hi guys," Anna said, and down next to Titus.

"I've been searching for Rose everywhere. Have you seen her? " she asked.

"Well, she's busy with something." Rayan said, and Anna nodded. He knows about Rose hanging out with Marissa.

Mara just got through with her last shoot. She was on her way home when some cars blocked her way.

"What the heck?" she got down from the car and met arm men in black suits.

"Our boss wants to speak with you. Please come with us, " they said, and she followed them to the car.

She entered the car and met Marcus smoking calmly.

"Nice to meet you, model." Marcus smiled, and Mara shivered in fear.

"Please don't hurt me," she pleaded.

"We have a deal," he said and looked at her.

"W....What deal?" she stuttered.

"Come closer," he said, and she leaned forward. He wispered something in her ear.

"This will benefit you a lot," he said, and she smiled.

"So deal," he asked, and she nodded.

"Deal"......
