Chapter 26

Marcus sat down on his king chair, going through his documents.

"They have already started attacking," his guard said.

"I know. Inform our allies at the borders. I need to join force with them to over power Dante and his son, " he said with his eyes still on the documents.

"Yes, sir."

They were discussing when Melvin entered. He wasn't smiling as usual. His cold aura gave no room for bullshit.

"Why did you call me?" he asked, sitting opposite to Marcus.

"I will take my leave now, boss," the guard said and walked out.

"It's been days since I last saw you. You seem really busy these days to check on me, " Marcus said and glanced at Melvin.

"Mid-test is coming up. I have to focus, " Melvin said, giving no emotions to his words.

"Oh really." Marcus dropped the documents and walked up to him.

"Too busy for me, or is there someone taking your time?" he asked, and Marcus looked at him.

"No one is taking my time. I have to focus on the mid-test that is coming up. " Melvin siad and give a light smile.

Marcus sat down next to him and faced Melvin.

"Better be, because you're mine and no one cam take you away from me," he said and pulled Melvin in for a kiss. It was rough that Melvin tasted his own blood. His lips were bleeding.

"You can flirt with anybody as much as you want, but always remember this. It's me first before them. Understand, " he said, and Melvin nodded.

"So, how far with the plan?" Melvin asked.

"Well,things have heated up already. Dante has successfully brought his son back. "

"You mean Rayan's father," Melvin asked, and Marcus nodded.

"I thought he wasn't into all this mafia stuff,"

"Well, he only left because of his issues with his dad, and trust me when I say this, he's not to be underestimated," Marcus explained.

"So what do we do now?"

"Just keep watching over Rayan for me. I want to know his every move and his daily activity, " he said, and Melvin nodded.

Rayan sat on his bed with his coffee next to him and his laptop on his bed. He was going through Dante's information.

"So much to learn to learn," Rayan groaned, going through the email. Then his phone rang,it was Rose calling.

"My dad is back," she screamed excitedly.

"When?" he asked.

"Just this afternoon and we are planning a family day," she said.

"A family day?" He asked.

"It's a day set aside for only us. We all go out as a family and have fun, " she explained.

"Woah, that's nice."

"I want you to come," she said.

"It's a family day, and I don't want to..."

"But you're my boyfriend. Dad is bringing Zara, so why can't I bring you too ? Besides, I want you to meet Zara. She's a nice person. "

"I would love to meet her too, but"

"No buts, Rayan. Dad sees you as family. Please come. " she pleaded.

"Alright, fine. Just tell me the date and time. I promise to be there, " he said, and she jumped with excitement.

"Thanks," she said, and he smiled.

"Anything for you. So what are you doing now? " he asked.

"I just got through showering,I'm currently in bed now talking to you," she said,

"Can I come?" he asked.

"Sure," she said, and he smiled. He offed the call and tossed the computer aside before stepping out of the room.

The next day on campus. Anna came early before the others because she had to go to the library before going to class.

On her way there, she met Eric. Seeing him made her heart skip a beat.

"Hey," he called out to her.

"Eric, wassup," she smiled.

"I'm good, and you "

"I'm fine,"

"What are you doing here?" she asked.

"Well, I came to do research as well,"

"I also came here to do research before heading to class. Come on, let's go, " she said and pulled him towards the library.

She sat opposite to him. He had his face buried in the book that he was reading while she couldn't stop glancing at him from time to time.

"Hey, are you ok?" she asked after a moment of silence.

"Yeah, I'm fine,"

"You seem quiet this morning. Is it because we found out that Marissa is your cousin? " she asked, and he looked at her.

"Well....I..."

"You should have at least told me that you had a cousin. It was kinda shocking to everyone yesterday, " she said.

"I'm sorry," he apologised.

"It's ok. I have to go to class now. See you later, " she said.

"Alright ," he nodded, and she left.

Rayan just got down from his car when he met Titus. It look like they both arrived at the same time.

"Wow, look who we have here. I thought you were dead already, " Rayan mocked.

"You wish," Titus scoffed and laughed.

"It's been three whole day, where the hell were you?" Rayan asked.

"My parents just returned, so I decided to spend some time with them, especially my mom." Titus said.

"Your parents returned, and you didn't bother to tell me...Geez Titus what kind of brother are you?" Rayan frown.

"Sorry,"Titus apologised.

"I'm coming over tonight. I miss them a lot, I hope they got me a nice present, " Rayan smiles, asking.

"We have grown up Rayan, why do you still need a present?"

"Well, they have to thank me for taking care of their son while they were gone for a year." Rayan smirck.

"Taking care of who," Titus scoffed, walking out of the parking lot.

"You, of course." Rayan hung his hands on Titus back.

"You can't even take care of yourself. How can you take care of me?" Titus looked at him.

"Hmmm,don't start with me this morning," Rayan glared, and Titus chuckled.

Mr Anderson arrived not too long at his father's mansion. He met Dante in his office at usual.

"It's been over 25 years since you left home," Dante said, and Mr Anderson Scoffed.

"I'm here to talk business concerning my son," Mr Anderson said

"Have a seat first." Dante said.

"I will be in charge of the team to safeguard Rayan," Mr Anderson said as he took his seat.

"Really?" Dante looked at his son.

"Yeah. I don't trust you when it comes to Rayan. "

"He's my grandson, I will never harm him,"

"I will be a fool to believe that," Mr Anderson hissed.

"Alright, fine. Whatever you say, " Dante agreed.

"And more thing. After all of this is over, stay away from my son and I. You are a curse, so it will be best if you stay away, " Mr Anderson said and walked out.

Dante sighed and took out his phone.

"Get the car ready," he said to his personal guard.

"Yes, Overlord," the guard replied, and he cut the call.

Eric stayed in the library all morning. It was already 12 noon when he left and went to the cafeteria. He was buying food when he spotted Melvin sitting alone in the Cafeteria, he was on his phone. He decided to buy him some food instead.

"Hey," he said when he reached Melvin.

"What do you want?" Melvin said with his focus still on the phone.

"Here. I brought you lunch, " He said and drop the food in front of Melvin, who looked at him.

"I already ate, thanks," Melvin said and was about to leave when Eric stopped him.

"Will you stop this childish attitude. It's not funny anymore. " He said, and Melvin yanked his hand away before leaving the cafeteria.

Rayan was with Titus when a junior student said that a guest came to see him.

"A guest," he questioned, and the student nodded.

"They are in the parking lot," the student said and walked away.

"Who could it be?" Titus asked.

"I don't know, except we go and find out," Rayan said, and both of them left the cafeteria without the knowledge that Rose was following them. She overheard what the student said.

They both arrived at the parking lot, and about five black Jeeps line up.

"Woah,now I'm curious." Titus said as they approached the car.

It's like the guest was already waiting for him to come. Immediately when he reached, the car door flew open and with that strong aura the person came down followed by his guards. He had on his masked, so his face was covered.

But Rayan didn't need anybody to tell him who this person is because he already knew.

"Dante," he muttered, looking the old man strict in the eyes.

"Miss me grandson" Dante said and smircked....
