Chapter 20

Anna stood with her bag in her hand. Her eyes scan the entire place.

"Beautiful," she muttered to herself, still staring around.

"Hey." she turned around and met Eric, climbing down the stairs. She couldn't help but drool, he was wearing a sleeveless shirt and pants, he was looking totally adorable to her.

"Please have a seat," he said, and she sat down.

"What can I offer you" he asked

"A wine will do," she said, and he looked at her and smiled.

A maid brought a bottle of wine with two glass cups. Eric sat down next to her.

"So what do you want us to do?" He asked

"A video game, can you play?" She asked

"Of course, wait a minute,"

He got up and put the game on. He took the remotes and gave her one.

"Wait.....before we start, let's place a bet," she said, and he looked at her.

"A bet? How well can you play"

"I'm a genuise," she said, and he laughed.

"A genuise, really"

"Yeah, so are you betting with me or not?" she asked

"I never back out of anything. So what's the deal? "

"I'm not telling you my bet now until the game is over," she said, and he nodded.

"Me too. ".....

Melvin stood up the stairs watching them.

"He's in love with her friend, and she's in love with him...crazy " he scoffed and went back into the room.

After the arm men left. Titus and Rayan went to a nearby bar to drink.

"It's been a while since we hang out just the two of us," Titus said. They were sitting opposite to each other.

"Yeah," Rayan said and took in all the wine.

"What do you think could be the reason for your father not telling you about your grandfather?" Titus asked.

"I don't know, and I don't care to know. I'm sure dad must have had his reasons, " Rayan said.

"You're right." Titus noded.

Rayan took out his phone and texted Rose. It was not too long she called him.

"Seems like you been missing me a lot butterfly." He smirck.

"Where are you?" she asked, due to the music sound from his background.

"Titus and I came out," he said.

"Really "

"What, you don't believe me?" he asked.

"I didn't say anything," she said.

"Obviously, you are doubting me,"

"But you are not innocent either," she scoffed.

"I know, but I will try to be innocent for you," he said, and her face flushed red.

"I will talk to you later. I'm busy right now, " she said.

"Alright," he said and cut the call.

"What?" he asked when he saw the way Titus was looking at him.

"Are you two still dating, or is it still a game?" Titus asked.

"Mind your business," Rayan hissed.

All the time, Marcus has been watching them slowly. He was sitting in the dark corner of the bar. His guards were stationed everywhere.

"I will be back," he said and walked up to Rayan and Titus.

"May I sit?" he asked with his glass of wine in his hand. Rayan didn't say anything,but Titus responded.

"Sure," Titus said, giving him a polite smile.

"By the way, I'm Marcus," he said after sitting down.

"I'm Titus."

Then he looked at Rayan, who was busy on his phone.

"He's Rayan," Titus said.

"You mean he's Rayan Anderson," Marcus said, and Rayan looked at him.

"If you already know, why did you asked " He frowned.

"Don't be serious. I just wanted to know you in person." Marcus smiled.

"Actually, I'm a big fan of you," he continued.

"I watched all your bike racing competitions. You're super cool, " He said, and Rayan looked at him.

"Thanks, but I know." Rayan said and stood up. He turned to Titus.

"Let's call it a day. See you on campus tomorrow, " he said, and Titus nodded.

Right after Rayan left, Marcus sat down next to Titus.

"Your friend is so cold," he said.

"Why is he like that?" he asked, and Titus looked at him and smiled.

"You should have asked him when he was here. You can have the table all to yourself. " Titus said and left as well.

"Birds of the same feather fly together." he smirck and drinks his wine.

Anna has beaten Eric for the third time.

"Geez,I accept defeat. You win, " he said, exhausted, and Anna laughed.

"I told you I'm a genuise," she smiled.

"Who thought you?" he asked.

"My father. We always used to play when I was young, " she explained.

"That's amazing." he smiled.

"So now that I've won the game. Do you want to know my bet;"she asked, and he nodded.

"Take me on a date," she blurt out, and he raised a brow.

"A date," he asked, and she nodded.

"I don't mean a romantic date, just a friendly date," she said quickly, and he nodded.

"Alright, I will schedule the time" he said, and she nodded quickly.

"Sir, the food is ready," one of the maids said, and Eric stood up.

"Please dine with me,"he said with a bow, and she couldn't help but laugh.

"Sure," she said and stood up as well.

They went to the dinner table,

"The food looks good,"she said, and he smiled.

"Thanks."

They sat down to eat. As they ate, they talked more. After dinner, it was time for Anna to go home.

"Thanks for coming," Eric said as he walked her out of the house.

"And thanks for hanging out with me as well," she said, and he smiled.

"See you on campus tomorrow," she said and got in her car.

"Have a safe drive," he said, and she nodded and drove away.

After Anna left, Eric went into the kitchen and told the maids to serve him a plate of food. After he received the food, he went upstairs.

When he entered, he met Melvin watching a cartoon.

"Here, I brought you something to eat," he said and placed the food on the table.

"Thanks." Melvin smiled and got down to eat.

"Has your guest gone already?" Melvin asked, and Eric nodded.

"Who was it?" He asked again.

"Just eat and stop talking." Eric hissed.

"You talk sweetly to everyone, but you're always angry at me. Why?" He asked, and Eric looked at him.

"Because you're very annoying," Eric said, and Melvin smiled.

"Don't worry, it's only a matter of time. You won't be seeing me anymore, " he said and continued eating. Eric looked at him but said nothing.

Anna and Rose just got on campus, and Anna was already telling Rose everything about her hang out with Eric.

"He's such a gentleman. We did a lot of things... gosh, I'm about to explode. "

Rose couldn't help but laugh.

"Do you think he liked me also?" Anna asked

"Why won't he. You're an amazing person. He would be a fool not to love you, " Rose said, and Anna blushed immediately.

"Thanks, bestie." She hugged Rose tight.

"See you after class," Rose said, and they part ways.

Anna was about to go to her class when she saw Titus.

"Hey Titus," she called out to him.

"You didn't look good yesterday. Are you sure you're fine?" she asked.

"Here I am. About last night I'm..."

"It's ok. Let's just forget about it, " she cut in, and he smiled.

"I have to go to class, see you," she said and walked away. He also went to his department as well.

Rose was on her way to class when she bumped into someone.

"I'm so so sorry." she quickly apologised and picked up her things.

"Rose." she looked up and met Eric.

"Eric wassup,"she smiled.

"I'm good. It's been a while, " he said, and she nodded.

"Yeah...its just that..."

"You don't have to explain. I understand everything, I also don't want to be the cause why you and Rayan get in a fight, " he said, and she smiled.

"Thanks. I'm running late now, "

"Sure you can go," he said, and she hurriedly left. He couldn't but smile to himself. Everything about her is just so unique.

Rayan just got through with his first class. He was going out when he met a commotion. Some students were fighting.

When he got there, he learned that it was Marissa and another girl. He quickly separated them.

"Let me teach her a lesson." Marissa struggles to free herself.

"It's enough. Do you want to get expelled? " he asked.

"She started it," Marissa said.

"No, she started it," the other girl yelled.

"Enough you two. Marissa, let's go, " Rayan said and pulled her away.

Her clothes were all thorn due to the fight.

"When did you become a rebel?" he looked at her.

"She and her gang always bully me," Marissa pouted.

"Then report them to the administration." He said and she looked at him.

"I won't do it again. I just thought of teaching her a lesson. Please don't be mad, " she muttered.

"I'm not mad, I don't want you fighting, that's all," he said, and she quickly nodded.

"Did she hurt you anywhere?" he asked

"She didn't even get the chance," she said, and he smiled.

"Good," he said, and she smiled too.

He took off his jacket and gave it to her.

"Wear this," he said.

"Thanks, Ray," she smiled and wore the jacket.

"Your hair is all scattered," he said, fixing her hair. She was just smiling. He always used to fix her hair.

"Thanks. You're the best, " she said and hugged him, and he also hugged her back.

"Rayan "

"What's going on here?"

Marissa and Rayan turned around to shockingly see Rose standing, looking at them with wide eyes...
