After Zara left. Rose headed back to her room and had a nice shower. She got through wearing her pyjamas, and she took out her notebooks to study. She was reading her notes when her phone rang. It was an unknown number.
"Hello, who's this?" she asked
"Your shining armour,"
Rose looked at the phone, shining armour.
"Rayan," She called
"Seems like you were expecting my call butterfly," he chuckled
"How did you get my number?"
"Just say I have my ways,"
Rose immediately knew that it was Anna who gave her number to Rayan. She was having mixed feelings like feeling happy and angry at the same time.
"Why did you call me?"
"Can't I call my girlfriend anymore?"
She rolled her eyes at what he said
"Rayan, I'm not your girlfriend,"
"Open your window, butterfly."
He said, and she stood up immediately
"What?" she was shocked
"I'm waiting,"
She quickly rushed to her window and saw him down.
"How did he entered " she thought to herself and opened the window, and he smiled at her.
"What are you doing here?" She asked on the phone, but he didn't respond, and he even ended the call. And what surprised her the most was when he used a rope to climb and entered her room.
"Wtf"
By that time, he had already entered.
"Hi."
He said, dusting his hands.
"How did you get past my securities?" she asked
"I have many talents butterfly, but anyway, that's not why I'm here,"
"Then why are you here?" She asked with her hands, akimbo.
"Well, I can't sleep. A lot is on my mind," he said honestly
"And what does that have to do with me?"
"Actually, when I can't sleep, I usually walk around or go to any of my friends' house. When I thought on that, you were the first person that came to my mind, "
"Meaning?"
"To be honest, I can't get you put off my head,"
Rose stood looking at him speechless. He was actually thinking about her.
"Why would you think about me when you have so many girls?"
She asked, trying to act like his words didn't affect her.
"Because you are now my girlfriend,"
"It's a deal girlfriend, Rayan. No extra feelings, she said, and he nodded.
"You have a nice room," Rayan said, and he walked around the room.
"Thanks," she said. Even though her father is rich but it's not compared to Rayan's father. His dad is ranking third in the world richest men
"Hey,"
Rayan called when he noticed that she was just standing silent
"I hope I didn't disturb your sleep," he said
"I wasn't sleeping. I was studying"
"Studying what"
"My lessons, of course,"
"Smart girl," he chuckled
"Of course ,
"How about we study together?" he said
"Are you nuts, no," she hissed
"Crazy "
He saw a family photo hanging up the wall.
"Is this your family?" he asked
"Yeah, that's my mom, dad, Carrie and I," she said, pointing at each one of them.
"Nice family. I must say you have a pretty mom."
"Well, she was a great woman. I wish she was here, " she muttered sadly
"Is she out of the country or what?" he asked
"She's late,"
"Sorry about that," he said quickly
"It's ok. It's just me, dad, and Carrie left.
"Just like me and my dad," he smiled
"What about your mom. Is she dead, too?"
"I wish she was dead," he scoffed
"Meaning," she was confused. How can someone wish his own mother death.
"Just forget it," He said, and she looked at him.
"Do you mind sharing it with me?" she asked
"Nah, maybe some other time."
"Ok, if you say so," she nodded.
"About Titus birthday party. Are you still coming with me? " he asked, changing the topic
"No," she replied
"Seriously ! The whole school knows that you're my girlfriend. "
"And so," she rolled her eyes
"That means you should come with me,"
"No, Rayan. I'm not coming with you, and besides, you have so many women to tag along with you. "
"But I want to be with you for the night. You know having you in my arms and doing all sort of naughty things to you. "
"Crazy," she hissed.
"Babe, I'm serious."
She was shocked when he called her babe
"What did you just call me?"
"Babe, of course,"
"You're unbelievable, Rayan."
She went and sat down to continue studying while Rayan sat on her bed.
"Please come,"
"My dad is back in the country. I don't think he will let me go. " she said
"Like seriously, as old as you are. You still take permission from your dad. That's sick. " he burst into laughter, and she glared at him.
"I'm not loose like you. I don't live on my own like you and you being the only child. I'm sure your dad spoiled you, " she said, and Rayan chuckles.
"You don't know my father," he said
"But at least I know you," she rolled her eyes.
"Look, my dad is strict ,"
"I know," she said sarcastically
"I'm not lying,"
"Did I say you are lying?"
"Ok, let's change the topic. I will talk to your dad ,I will tell him that I'm taking you out. "
She looked at him awkwardly.
"And he will let me go with you,"
"Of course he will. Just watch and see,"
"Ok. I would love to see you try"
They chatted for some time and even got comfortable with each other even though they fought sometimes.
"It's late now, I should leave my queen to sleep,"
Rose couldn't help but blush at what he said
"Look, you are blushing,"
"I'm not."
And they both burst into laughter.
"I will take my leave now. See you soon."
He was about to leave, but she held his hand
"Will you be on campus tomorrow ?
He looked at her and smiled.
"I'm leaving the country tomorrow. I will be back on Thursday evening. "
He said, and she frowned, making him laugh.
"I'm just joking butterfly. Of course, I will be on campus tomorrow.
"Ok then, goodnight," she said and let go of his hand.
"You're forgetting something," he said
"What?" she raised her brows in confusion,
"A goodnight kiss." he kissed her forehead, making her blush again.
"Goodnight butterfly," he muttered and jumped down the window.
"Guess it's really a goodnight sleep ," she smiled to herself and went to bed.
Rayan had packed his car not too far from Rose's father compound. He was about to reach his car when he spotted a familiar female figure roaming around.
He stopped on his track as the cold breeze hit him hard. It can't be her, she....
"Angelica," he called with a heavy heart...as he drowned in his own sorrows.
