Savannah looked at Jake with a glint in her eyes. "I got the latest edition of Roblox. It's in my room if you want to see it," she said.
Jake looked at me, his face full of fake guilt. He was basically asking for permission to go and sneak more time with her. I just sighed and gave him a bored look.
"Go with her, Jake," I said, my voice dripping with hidden meaning. "She clearly wants to show you her... toys." I let out a sharp laugh.
Savannah laughed awkwardly. She shifted in her slippers, looking at me like she was trying to figure out if I knew her secret.
