Tristan Pov:
"Who is she to you anyways?" Alina was a sobbing mess, but still had the boldness to ask me a question that was way past her boundaries.
I tensed the moment she said "she", because I already knew who she was talking about. She's asking who was Amberleigh to me? No one knew the truth about that little girl or her younger brother, it was a family secret and she didn't need to be enlightened on any of the information.
I walked back to where she was and held her jaw tightly and pulled her towards me. My eyes bored deep into her terrored ones, making sure she heard me and understood the next words that came out of my mouth.
"That's none of your f*****g business, Alina. Just know that....if I find you talking to her, I will literally have your damn head."
"And just because I'm walking away now....we are far from done. You will understand what it's like to be truly unhappy from now on. You claim I have already made your life a living hell?" I smirked at her. "Then you haven't seen nothing yet..."
I let go of her jaw and walked away, leaving her where she was in the hallway. I didn't look back or need to look back at her to know she was distressed and in pain. For a second, my heart twinged in my chest at the state she was in, but it quickly went away as I remembered what she had done. She deserved it and then some.
Alina had no boundaries when it came to orders, she never follows them. Instead, she breaks them with no remorse until she has to endure her punishment. My heart kept ruling my head, making the decisions, but that was gonna change.
I redirected my thoughts back to the current issue I let off carelessly these past few days. My focus was so wrapped around Alina, I was slowly forgetting the real problem right now. I hated to admit it...but I was becoming too vulnerable, letting too many emotions take over my senses that used to only think about work.
I walked down the halls, to my bedroom and locked the door behind me. I pushed Alina out of my thoughts, and put my focus back on the reminder that I was supposed to get back in touch with Vincent.
My eyes roamed around the room, looking for my cell phone. 'Where did I put it' I asked myself, trying to remember where it is.
Just then, my eyes landed on the large marble table across the room and placed on it was my phone. I took long strides towards it, bending a little to pick it up.
Once I unlocked the phone, I went straight to dialing his phone number. I paused for a second to think. "It's late, so I'll just text him..." I mumbled to myself.
I decided to go with my idea and went to my messages, scrolling through them and finally tapping his contact name, which was saved in as his name. Plain, I know.
Sighing lightly, I began typing my message to him.
Me: Are you busy this week?
It didn't take him that long to reply, or at least not as long as I thought it'd take. A little while after thirty minutes passed, he replied back to me.
Vincent Decuir: Ehi, quindi finalmente hai trovato il tempo di contattarmi, vedo. (Hey, so you finally took the time to contact me, I see.)
His response was written in italian, though it wasn't hard to understand what he said since I learnt the language at an early age. I decided to reply back to him in Italian as well.
Me: Si', l'ho fatto, ma torniamo alla mia domanda. Sei impegnata questa settimana? (Yes, I did, but back to my question. Are you busy this week?)
Vincent Decuir: Sono sempre occupato, ma posso prendermi un po' di tempo per aiutarti con il problema. Che ne dici di domani? Buon per te? (I'm always busy, but I can take some time out to help you with the issue. How about tomorrow? Good for you?)
Me: Sì, Domani va bene per me. (Yes, Tomorrow's good for me.)
Vincent Decuir: Grande! Ci vediamo nel mio ufficio, nella sala riunioni domani alle 4. (Great! See you in my office, in the meeting room tomorrow at 4.)
Me: Ci vediamo allora... (See you then...)
I clicked off my phone and sat it back down on the table. I went straight and took a shower and got ready for bed. Not once did I let my mind fall back to Alina, because if I did, I knew that I'd probably go running to her ass.
***********************
Next morning, I woke up early. I decided to stay in my room to work on any new documents that were sent to me from my employees, so I didn't accidentally run into Alina.
Before I left New York, I woke up every single day and went straight to the headquarters of my company. Jonah and Trevor both worked as my personal assistants, since I have known them for half my life. I trust them dearly.
Besides, I didn't want any more female personal assistants after I had to fire Bianca. That woman was nothing but a clingy w***e who never did anything but flaunt her body around my office, and she was like an annoying fly to me.
I grabbed my computer off the table at the far end corner where my phone was placed. Looking through my emails, I opened almost every single, getting straight to going over contracts from other businessmen and women, forwarding them to Trevor.
By the time I closed my computer, it was already 3:07. I got straight up and did my normal hygiene duties, combing through my silky damp hair, gelled backwards. I went straight to my walk-in closet and retrieved a business suit, putting it on in a swift motion.
Once I finished getting dressed, I walked out of the room. I didn't go to check up on Alina, for I was still pissed at her. That didn't mean I didn't take caution with her. Before I left, I made sure she was kept an eye on the entire day, anywhere she went.
My instructions were threatening, giving if they weren't followed, they all would surely be fired for not listening and carrying out my order. They all understood this, and I was glad I didn't have to say anything twice.
It took me about half an hour to arrive at Vincent's workplace, which was his company. I looked down at my watch, which stated the time was currently 3:52.
I shut the door to my Bmw i8, and strolled into the headquarters of Decuir Empire and International. Most bypassers greeted me, and I simply nodded and continued walking.
I took the elevator to the 25th floor, where Vincent's office was located. Once the elevator dinged and opened, I started back walking. I was thankful I didn't have to share the elevator with anyone, because I wasn't a fan of crowded spaces.
A few minutes passed by with me taking a few turns down new halls. I found Vincent's office, the biggest office on this floor, probably one of the biggest offices in this entire building.
I didn't knock or wait for his approval to come in, as I opened the door and walked straight towards his desk. I arrived at exactly 4, which I was thankful for since I didn't like being late. It wasn't professional whatsoever.
Vincent was sitting at his desk, looking tired as he was typing away something on the computer in front of him. Once he noticed my presence in the room, he stopped typing and looked up at where I was standing.
"You made it just in time..." He smiled at me, one I didn't return. Instead, I just gave him a quick nod and leaned over the huge desk in the room.
"I did" A sigh elicited from me and I looked up at him to still see him smiling.
"Well now that I am finally here....let's get down to business, shall we?" I quirked my brows, though I held a professional and serious look on my face.
He nodded in approval. "We shall do so"
I removed myself off the desk, and plopped myself down in one of the chairs in front of him. "As far as Leonard, I can have my men and yours to work together and track him down. Once they find him and bring him back to whatever location you want him at....then you can make him suffer." Vincent voiced out his idea, which I nodded in approval.
"That sounds wonderful to my ears. After I'm done with the asshole, even hell wouldn't accept him." An evil grin came upon my face as I started to think about everything I would do to him once he's in my posession.
"Fucker..." I mumbled to myself, still grinning.
"And for Bryce....I have an idea that will be easier for the both of us." He said, making me give him my undivided attention.
"Okay.....what's the idea?" My brows raised in curiosity and suspicion.
"Alina" He simply said with no expression.
I stopped and thought about what he was trying to say. Alina. What could she possibly do to help me find him? I thought...but then something clicked in my head.
Now that I remember, Bryce Maddox is Alina's brother. The best way to find him is with Alina. I knew she wouldn't ever agree on her own with whatever plan we're cooking up...but I can be persuasive at important times.
"I'm listening...." My interest in his idea was perked to the highest level.
"Since Alina and Bryce have family connections, you can use Alina to get to him." I didn't like the idea that I would have to "Use" Alina, as he put it, but was there any other better choice?
'No....the best choice is to go with this plan" My subconsciousness said.
I sighed and nodded. "Hmm...continue?"
"Have Alina set up a family dinner and make sure Bryce attends it. You and a few of my men can attend in secret. Also make sure nothing is suspicious, we cannot have Bryce to know anything about our plans for him. Make sure no one catches you or any of your men, and I also advise that you keep a lookout on Alina, so everything goes according to plan and nothing gets ruined." He stated.
I thought about this idea of his for some time. After a little contemplation, I smiled. This was a very great plan, and I'm positive that everything will work out.
"Great thinking, Vince." I patted his back playfully.
"Let's put this plan in action shall we?" I raised my brows.
"Hmmm....yes we shall" He smirked, proud of himself.
"Catch up later with you? I now have some things I have to take care of...." The things that I was talking about, had everything to do with getting Alina to agree with the plan.
"Go do what you gotta do...I'll be in touch with you," He said just before I closed the door to his office.
Once I left the building, I hopped in my car and headed straight back towards the mansion.
Less than 15 minutes, and I was pulling up into the front of the house. I turned off the engine and locked the door, walking straight towards the door.
I opened the door to the mansion and walked in. I was met with greetings from Melinda and a few other maids, but I paid them no heed.
I walked straight towards Alina's room, and opened the door without knocking. Once I walked into the room, I found Alina resting on the bed, her back facing me.
Even though I couldn't see her face, I knew she wasn't asleep. I was proved correct the moment she sensed my presence and quickly got up from the bed.
Her eyes were bloodshot red, and her hair was disheveled. A part of me felt bad for her, but that quickly went away as I remembered yesterday.
"What are you doing here?" Her voice was stone cold and she was giving me a death glare. I simply ignored the daggers she was throwing at me with her eyes, and walked a little closer to her.
The moment she realized I was walking to her, she swiftly moved back. I continued walking towards her, while she kept taking long steps backwards.
A frustrated groan came from her the moment her back hit the wall. She had nowhere to go, and she knew this just as well as I did.
"I'm here because....." I started in a mischievous tone.
"Because I need a favor from you, and you will not refuse." My voice hardened at the end, causing her to shiver.
"How come you're so sure I won't?" Her brows raised angrily.
"Oh, I'm very sure" I smirked at her dangerously.
"What is the favor you need from me?" She asked me curiously, but her tone stated she was ready to decline the moment I told her.
"You....will help me get your brother." I stated coldly.
"No. I won't" She replied with just as coldness.
"Yes, you f*****g will..." I said back in a threatening tone.
I was gonna make her agree one way or another. No matter what, I had to find him and make him suffer terribly, and she nor anyone else was gonna stop me from doing so....
