“Well, this isn't bad….lets go!!!” Susan shouted as she joined Stella in dancing.
They danced out their hearts like never before, drank more wine, exchanged more laughs and smiles as their hearts could no longer contain the excitement.
“Wow…this was fun, oh God, I’m so tired!” Susan muttered, walking back to her seat to rest.
“Yeah…well I’m not!” Stella said, as she took her seat. “We should do this more often you know!” She suggested.
“Yeah maybe next time,”Susan replied, drinking more wine. “Thank you Stella…I feel alive now, I was dead for a long time. She laughed.
“Don’t worry…I’ll take it upon myself as my duty to bring you here for fun.” Stella said, laughing.
After a while, a man approached their table. Meanwhile, the man has been staring since he noticed them enter the club unbeknownst to them.
He decided to approach them. “Hello beautiful ladies…how are you guys? He asked.
“Yeah we’re good….what do you want?” Stella said, looking pissed by his appearance.
“My name is Mark, nice to meet you!” He answered, stretching his hand for a hand shake.
Susan didn’t even bother to say anything since he came and none of them was ready to shake him.
“Do you mind if I have a seat?” The man asked. “Hmm” Stella muttered.
“Thank you.” He said, as he sat down. He turned to face Susan who hadn't said anything at all.
“Can I know your name, you haven’t said anything since I came, trust me I’m not a bad guy!” Mark chuckled.
“My name is Stella…and she’s Susan.” Stella replied.
Susan faced him, seeing a clearer view she couldn’t help but notice how bold and handsome the guy was.
He had a clean cut and a nice beard just like her husband. Although he’s cute and inbuilt, he’s nothing compared to Steve.
“Nice to meet you!” She said, trying to change the atmosphere between them.
Meanwhile, Stella was also checking him out, “he’s not bad after all.” Stella muttered.
She cleared her throat with a loud sound, to stop them from whatever vibe it is between them.
“Susan…I think we need to go…it’s midnight!” She said, checking her wrist watch.
“Yeah…that’s right, shall we?” Susan panicked, while standing up.
“Oh…I see you guys are ready to leave…I hope to see you guys again, do you mind giving me your number anyone?” He asked.
“My friend is married…I will!” Stella interrupted.
After giving him her number, they headed out to go home. Susan was already exhausted and tipsy.
Thank God Stella was there to rescue her. If not, she would have done something she’ll regret with Mark, maybe by kissing her.
Stella had to drive because she wasn’t too tipsy plus she had to ensure Susan gets home safe so Steve won’t have her head.
Soon, they arrived at her house. She was welcomed by Susan’s maid Kim.
“Welcome home ma!” Kim said. She saw Susan so tipsy , she quickly hurried to help her and took her straight into her bedroom.
“Alright take care of her, I’m going home.” Stella said. “Okay ma…but are you sure you can go home by yourself?” Kim asked curiously.
“Of course…yeah…why won’t I…I can right?” Stella stuttered.
Kim knew she couldn’t let Stella go home by herself in this state and she can’t let her sleep in the house with Susan because of Steve.
Steve and Stella have a beef between them. Steve knows Stella has never liked him right from the start and always believes that she’s responsible for poisoning his wife’s mind against him.
But for Stella, she knew Steve has some bad motives up his sleeve against her friend, judging from how he constantly body shame and insults her.
It will be too much for Susan to handle in the morning when Steve finds Stella here.
So she had to call Steve’s driver; Jude to take her home safely while she went in to help her madam change and sleep comfortably.
“Jude!! Pls come take madam Stella home!” She called out.
Jude was half asleep when he heard Kim’s voice. “He staggered out of his room to see what’s happening.
“Jude, madam Stella is tipsy…pls I need you to take her home.” She begged.
“Okay…,” He quickly composed himself, seeing madam Stella who was already sleeping.
With Kim’s help, he was able to put her in the car and drove her home.
Kim was sad with the way Susan was looking. She knew it was what’s happening that made her get herself in this state.
She hoped everything would be okay in no time, so she went into her room to rest as well.
“Hey Martins…is there anything like the end of having fun?” Steve asked.
“What do you mean?” Dr martins asked, putting his bottle of beer on the table.
“Aren’t I the luckiest man in the whole world!!….I get anything and everything I want..Do you want to know why?” Steve exclaimed
“Yes, tell me!” Dr martins said curiously.
“Well luck because I’m married to the richest woman ever…she provides everything that I need and even more!” He shouted, laughing.
“You should be grateful!" Dr martins said.
“Yeah…why not, and I have a son, a happy home!” Steve continued.
Dr Martins knew Steve was lying, just trying to feed his ego but he’ll continue to mind his business because after all, it’s Steve’s life not his.
The rich also cry, they say but what about the poor; are they happy or sad? Susan and Steve are rich but sad while Natasha and Daniel are poor yet happy.
Susan is rich but doesn’t have peace and happiness even from her loved ones, but Natasha despite being poor feels rich because she found happiness and happiness with the one she loved.
“Hey my richest husband in the whole world is home, welcome back. How is work?” Natasha asked, smiling sweetly to her husband.
“It’s still the same…I couldn’t find any job today after all my searching.” Daniel said sadly.
“How can you still continue to call me rich; I can’t even provide for my wife.” He continued as he sat down on the bed since he couldn’t afford to buy a comfy chair.
“Baby…don’t talk like that, money isn’t the only thing that makes you rich.”
“But because of the way you take good care of me, you give me attention, love and peace.”
“Take a look at me, I am poor yet I’m happy and glowing…as long as a man makes his wife happy, then he is rich.”
“So I’ll always call you my rich husband okay?” Natasha said happily, giving her husband a hug to cheer him up.
“Alright!” Daniel laughed. “But still…it’s only fair if I’m able to take good care of you, see how beautiful you are…I’m so lucky to have you.” He added.
“But why can’t I be able to buy you beautiful things like wigs, designer bags, shoes, expensive stuff…babe, I should be able to afford these little things for you.” He said, frowning.
“Babyyy…but I’m not complaining, don't worry my love…I know you are doing your best, you are really trying, with time, things will get better.”
“I’m not complaining my love.” Natasha said.
