Chapter 41
Ramona
Ramona had been on duty for two long days, with only four hours of sleep and a few catnaps. Now, after a shower, she stretched out under the bed's covers. She wanted to sleep, but her mind was racing, preventing her from sleeping. Rico had called in his report about his meeting with Doctor Clevenger. The situation was dire, with the potential of millions dying and billions of dollars in damages.
The fires, strong winds, and thick smoke across the islands prevented the terrorists and Rico’s team from reaching the target area. The CIA had agents out looking for the terrorist’s plane and the bomb, but so far, no luck. The one good thing was that Rico and his men could finally get some needed rest.
Ramona rolled from her back to her side, facing the open side of the bed.
