When Faiz Abbas, formerly known as Charles Johnson, converted to Islam, he had been ostracized by his family and friends. He also found that he was not welcomed by all within the Islamic community as a convert. But, a small group of Islamic radicals had befriended him in college. Faiz was encouraged to continue his studies in engineering, while at the same time, they slowly radicalized him. Today, he stood on the brink of proving himself to his new friends and Allāh.
