The pilot of N-458 felt a chill and quickly banked to the left, away from the fleeing car. “What are you doing?” yelled the newsman. “I’m saving us from some major trouble.” Furious, the reporter demanded the pilot turn around. The pilot pushed the radio microphone away from his mouth so his passenger could read his lips. “f**k you,” was the silent message as the two helicopters flew away in opposite directions. The Marines and police teams ushered the vendors and their helpers away from the suspected bomb site. Rico, Barnes, and Chang began to search the area methodically. It was Barnes who found the bomb.
