Command
Colonel Wade sat at his desk, staring at the electronic map board. He said to Ramona Garcia, “Get me an eye on La Palma Island ASAP.”
Wade picked up the phone and punched a key, “Get me four more men in here, on-the-double.”
A minute later, four Marines rushed into the command room. “You men will assist the Lieutenant.”
As the four Marines moved to the map-board, Ramona faced Wade. “Sir, a major storm is moving towards the La Palma area. Madrid reports winds from the Sahara are sending streams of sand drifting over the Canary Islands. The sands are creating chaos, and all aircraft are grounded.
