3rd POV
*Ring
“That stupid sound, where is it coming from?”
“I can’t open my eyes.”
“Ugh it’s too bright tone it down, whoever’s out there.”
‘Wha-what the light toned down, and where am I? I was shot, I was shot multiple times. How am I still alive?’ Peia or known as Sea thought.
“You’re quite a demanding human being are you, and you have a lot of questions for someone who asked for a second chance.” A loud voice of a woman reverberated in the area she’s in right now, an area that seems infinitely large.
“Who are you?” Peia’s voice also reverberated in the area.
“I am the god who is giving you another chance.” A woman descended from above, in her white flowy dress she blinded Peia with the light shining from her.
“Can you at least let me see your face? Tone the light down.” The light went down, but when Peia saw her face, the only thing she saw is a woman with face that is nonexistent, her whole face was just a light.
“Is that really your face?” Peia questioned the god.
“Yes, it is, but if you earn the right to see my face, then you will see it.” she answered.
“But how will your followers worship you, if you don’t have a face?” Peia questioned the goddess again.
“I don’t have any followers, nobody worships me, I am the forgotten Goddess, Chance.” She explained her situation.
“So, you give chances?”
“For an excellent assassin like you sure have a lot of question.” Chance becoming annoyed by her questions.
“Well, I’m sorry for that, but this is all new to me, I never really believe in gods, since I was raised to become the perfect killing machine.”
“I know, I saw your life, the only time you were a human, was when you were begging for another life.” The Goddess remembered the life of this killing machine, she remembered how Peia grew up like a robot; programmed to always obey the orders.
“I did not beg.” Peia retorted.
“Do you want another life or not?” The Goddess interrogates her.
“Yes, I do.” Peia happily answered, her eyes sparkling with joy on the second life she was
going to receive.
“Then all you got to do is obey me.” The Goddess said her first condition, and she knew herself that this condition was such an ass move, but Peia still nodded eagerly. “You must do everything. When I tell you to kill, you kill, got it?” The Goddess said very seriously, and because of this Peia was sadden a little bit, since she thought that she would have changed the way of her past life but was still enthusiastic.
“I didn’t tell you to become the person who you were before, so change yourself in this life,” The Goddess added hinting the sad emotion she felt from Peia. “I am not the boss you had before, I’m different from those assholes, so don’t treat me like your I was your past boss.” Her eyes sparkled again, knowing that she can become and live like a human.
“Secondly, you have to worship me.” The Goddess added her second condition. “You should be honored you are the first human who will worship me.” The Goddess added smugly.
“Shouldn't you be the honored one since you finally have a person who’s going to worship you?” Peia did not believe her statement.
“Shut up, do you want the life or not?” The Goddess threatened her.
“You can’t always use that phrase, that’s unfair, you knew how much I want this second life.” Peia fighting back against the Goddess.
“That’s why you have to worship me, so you can have this life.” The Goddess stated a fact.
“But you said you didn’t have any followers, I’m sure no one built a shrine or a church for you, where would I pray for you?” Peia asked.
“You don’t need to pray for me, you just have to believe in me, I’m not like the other gods, who deprived their followers from their free time.” The Goddess said.
“Woah okay, that’s nice, I actually don’t know how to pray, it wasn’t part of our training as an assassin.” Peia said it in relief, to be honest she knew there were gods, but didn’t ask for their blessings because she thought that she wasn’t worthy for their glory.
“Yeah, so be honored, anyway that is all I ask you, can you do it all?” The Goddess asked Peia, she knew she could do it all, that’s why she chose her as the first person to give chance to in a thousand years.
“Yes, I can do it all Chance.” Peia smiled wholeheartedly, readying herself to accept her new life, together with the god who gave her second chance.
“I didn’t allow you call my name, whatever, are you ready?” The Goddess raised her hand, light and sparkles erupted from her hand, and pushed those things to Peia’s body
The light hits her body, and it begins to fade, transporting every single atom to the new world she is going to live in.
“You know Chance, thank you for giving a life to me, I felt like Pinocchio, and you were the Goddess who made me become a true human.” Peia said with only a quarter left of her body.
“You!” The Goddess pointed at her, “I told you that you can’t call my name.” Peia only laughed and said thank you as her body departs from the place.
“You know Cassiopeia if you haven’t noticed you were actually a human since before, you just failed to show emotions, and you have cut the strings from your puppeteer" And with that phrase The Goddess faded.
