Samuel's pov

"Sir we have arrived," my driver stated from the front seat as we pulled through a giant security gate with stone columns on each side. As we drove I took note of the rolling hills and open fields on my side of the vehicle before my brother spoke up. "Hey Sam think their Alpha will allow us to take a run in the morning? Those trees look beautiful."

"Well Tom you can ask the Alpha if youd like, but I'm not going anywhere near him or his pack members. We've all heard the rumors about the vicious BloodRose pack." I glanced at him while continuing, "If youd like to ask you may, but please be respectful as I dont want to fight an Alpha tonight."

After a few minutes we were pulling into a large parking lot next to a gigantic stone building with marble pillars around the front and floor to ceiling windows covering the second story. It was a truly beautiful building, and the inside was just as grand with gold embellishments placed around the walls along with a golden DJ booth attached to a large stage at the front of the room.

I proceeded to the bar ordering a rum and coke while Tom got a beer. We mingled in the crowd for a few moments until Tom froze turning to the stage with a sparkle in his eyes. Following his eyes I turned catching sight of the most beautiful woman I've ever seen while the scent of mint wafted into my nose.

"Mate! We've found our mate!" Axel screamed in my head while I just stood there staring at the woman approaching stage. What is she doing? Only the current Alpha and Luna make the opening speech before the mating party.

She stood tall with her shoulders square as if she had a title while addressing the crowd, "Thank you all for attending tonight and allowing our young wolves to find their mates. I know some people here, but look forward to meeting you all. With that said allow me to introduce myself and my friend here. This is Teah Beta to the BloodRose pack and I am Jade Alpha to the BloodRose pack. I will only respond to Alpha J, if anybody calls me otherwise I will not be happy," my mates smile formed into an evil grin as she surveyed the crowd while avoiding my eyes, "okay everybody please enjoy and behave yourselves tonight."

I couldnt peel my eyes away as she exited the stairs; her midnight black hair flowing over the open back of the skin tight emerald green dress that hung to the floor at her feet with a slit going up her right thigh. My hands clenched as I took noticed of the bite mark on her forearm.

"Sam, I think Beta Teah is my mate. Jacob wont shut up about meeting her. Care if I go?" Tom mindlinked me.

"Yea Tom go get your girl. I'll be here watching my mate..." I slipped in hoping he'd miss it.

"What?! Who?!" he followed my eyes to Alpha J when a gasp escaped his lips.

"Oh brother I'm so sorry. The one person you didnt want to interact with here turns out to be your mate," I heard a slight chuckle to his tone as he approached Beta Teah.

"Dude she beautiful and Axel wont shut up either, but I dont know what to do here man. I'd honestly given up on finding my mate, but now she's here.." sighing I was at a loss as to how to handle this. Should I approach her or not?

Tom was talking to Teah by now each giggling away happily while I wandered around the room Axel never losing focus on where our mate was. I decided to just go for it, hell worse she'd do is reject me hopefully. As I approached her a scream ripped through the ceremony hall causing my mates face to pale as she ran towards the noise coming from a back room. Before I was able to follow her my brother was back by my side whispering in my ear, "Dont. Teah sent me over here to stop you from following Alpha J. I don't know why, but she doesnt want you to see what's happening."

As I turned planning to follow my mate anyways she emerged from the back room with 2 warriors, one carried a woman in his arms that shook with fear while the other carried an unconscious man slung over his shoulder. My mates green eyes fogged over in a mindlink and within seconds Teah was infront of the first warrior taking the woman from his arms. My mate addressed the crowd before walking out the door with Teah and the warrior in tow, "I'm sorry for the interruption everybody. Please return to the party and enjoy I have some pack business to attend to, but I will return."

Teah whispered something into Tom's ear before turning and following Alpha J out the door into the dark night. We watched as Teah headed to a hospital looking building while my mate returned to the pack house. Now's my chance to talk to her alone.

Jogging up next to her as she entered the pack house I cleared my throat to attract her attention. She glanced at me then proceeded up the stairs to the top floor, without another word I followed her. As we reached the top she turned to me, "Why are you following me?" she snapped with annoyance in her voice.

"Why are you acting as if I dont exist," I retorted. She continued into a large room painted black with blood red decorations and a king size bed in the middle. Entering through a door she returned a moment later exchanging her emerald dress and black heels for an old tshirt, jeans, and a pair of black military boots.

Following her outside we approached a small door built into the side of a hill. "Where are we going?" hoping she wasn't going to kill me for approaching her as I did.

"the cells. I told you I have pack business to attend to," she flatly replied without showing any emotions. I decided then to just sit and watch as she made her way down the long dimly lit hallway.

Passing multiple doors we stopped outside the last one. Teah entered the building with another visiting Alpha and his Luna following. My mate turned to me as she began speaking, "I want you to wait outside with your brother and this Luna. This is pack business therefore not yours. We will be out shortly." with that she turned and entered the room.

I exited the cells with the Luna in tow as I spotted Tom sitting in the grass staring at the door, "hey man do you know what happened at the party? Alpha J wouldnt tell me anything." I questioned.

He shrugged, "no idea Sam, Teah wouldnt allow me in the hospital when she took that girl in, but she looked furious as we came here." I mulled it over for a few moments. What could have caused these girls to get so angry in a few short minutes and what are they doing in that room?

After 30 minutes my mate, her sister, and the visiting Alpha emerged. The girls had victorious smiles as they stepped towards us into the moonlight. Tom ran to Teah extending his arms to engulf her into a hug before she extended her arms stopping him. We froze taking in our mates appearances. Their shirts and pants were covered in sticky red blood as it dripped down onto their matching black military boots. My mate had some smeared across her face as if she tried to wipe it off; while her sister only had it on her clothes.

"T can you please entertain our guests while I go visit the pack hospital?"

"of course Alpha. We will be at the pack house whenever you're done," I wretched my hand away from Teah and J began walking away.

"wait. Why are you going to the hospital, are you injured?" Panicking, my mate just chuckled at me.

"What's so funny? Cant I be worried about my mate?" with that Alpha J turned sending me an evil look before her eyes clouded over. Looking around I noticed that Teahs eyes had fogged up too. After what seemed like forever they finished the mindlink and Alpha J turned to me again, "you will go with my Beta and obey what she orders or leave my territory. Understood?" leaving me dumbstruck she turned and walked away.

Tom, Teah, and I proceeded into the pack house as my mind continuously raced back to my mate covered in blood. "Dont worry about her so much. She can handle herself," Tessa must've sensed my concern, "and in all honesty none of this blood is from our bodies."

"Who's body is it from then" I mumbled. Everybody that I knew of being in the cells had exited with my mate. Tessa gave me an evil smile as she shrugged, "oh just some scum that had to be taught a lesson."

"May I ask another question?" trying not to push my luck but wanting to know about my mate I had to ask. Teah nodded as I continued, "why does she act as if I dont exist? It's almost like she wants nothing to do with me."

"That's because she doesnt," Teah responded absentmindedly before noticing my concern, "s**t sorry, I didnt mean it like that. J just hasn't thought about finding her mate in years, so I'm sure it threw her off when she seen you at the party. Just give her some time."

Teah directed Tom and I to our rooms before going back downstairs. Laying in the bed I tossed and turned not able to fall asleep until my mates scent wafted into my nose. Soon after I drifted off peacefully knowing my mate is home safe.
