“What the hell are you doing?” I shouted shocked.
He killed him. I was certain that he had killed him! What kind of force was that? And… the wings… where did the wings disappear to? I was sure that I saw them! I’m not crazy. So big and sparkling, covered in flames. Yes, that was not a dream. But! That wasn’t the time to think of that. I run to Nathan’s side and I helped him stand.
“Are you ok?” I asked terrified.
Instead of answering he brushed off the blood from the edge of his lips.
“That hurt Ilay!” he said almost laughing.
“Shut the f**k up and stay away from her!”
I was surprised. Did they know each other?
“What if I don’t want to?” he provoked him pulling me closer.
I could feel every muscle of his body embracing me. This sent a chilly wave down my spine. I was almost enjoying it. I couldn’t understand anything anymore…
“Someone please tell me what the hell is going on!” I shouted frustrated.
Nathan turned his gaze to me and I could swear that his blue eye color was glowing. Supernaturally glowing.
“I will tell you! Just come with me!”
“No! Don’t listen to him! Run! He wants to kill you”, Ilay shouted desperately.
I really needed a clear explanation about this situation. I turned to Nathan and nodded slightly. I definitely trusted him more than the guy who almost killed him. I had a feeling. He smiled satisfied and reached his hand out to me. I was ready to accept it when I heard Ilay cursing.
“Go to Hell Nathan! “
Nathan’s serious look changed and his emotionless lips cracked into an ironic smile. He sighed.
“You haven’t learned yet, have you? I come from there!”
My eyes bugged at his answer. He seemed to notice it and moved his eyes on mine. He winked. He definitely wanted me to trust him. Ilay went wild and with a marvelous jump he stood in between us and separated Nathan violently from me. He ran away holding me in his arms.
“What the- Let me go!”
I was feeling s insecure. I wanted Nathan to come and get me back from him but that never happened.
“Sora please! Trust me… as soon as we get home Aaron is going to explain everything to you. Just be patient…”
Aaron? How the hell did he know my brother? Furthermore his speed was unbelievable, supernatural. Cold air lashed my face and with every step he took my hair became entangled. We reached my house in no time. Aaron was sitting on the stairs looking anxious. When our eyes met he stood up immediately.
“Thank God!”
“Aaron I want some explanations! Now!” I said while jumping off the boy’s arms.
He sighed as he walked up to me.
“I know…”
“I’m listening!” I went and sit on the stairs where he was sitting a couple of seconds ago. I was so interested in the excuse he was going to make up.
“The truth is that…” he paused for a second and looked away scratching awkwardly his neck.
“Yes?” I encouraged him to continue.
“I- I’m not your brother Sora…” I froze and my eyes opened wide. My body started trembling without my will which affected my voice.
“W-What do you mean by that Aaron? O-of course you are my brother…” I said trying to smile as if he was joking or something.
“No, I’m not! I’m sorry I didn’t tell you sooner…”
Tears started appearing under my eyes. Lies. He was lying! He definitely was making fun of me.
“Come on Aaron. S-Stop joking already…” his face was serious, so serious that I found it difficult not believing him. I couldn’t hold my tears back any longer.
“Please! Tell me that you’re lying! I don’t want that!”
I said. His pained expression didn’t help me stop crying. Not even the least.
“Please don’t…” my voice didn’t let him continue.
“I can’t bear it Aaron! I just can’t. It’s way too much for me!”
He approached me and took my face into his warm hands.
“Look Sora, the fact that I’m not your brother doesn’t mean that I don’t love you. Of course I do, but not as a sister. Much more than that”.
At first I didn’t understand what he meant but I got my answer when his lips met mine. That wasn’t happening! It was impossible. The person who I thought as my brother all those years now was kissing me, passionately. His lips started burning on mine, it almost felt like flames covering my entire body. The burn penetrated into my mouth along with his tongue, resulting to me feeling a strong burn in my neck. I immediately tried to push him. This was not how a kiss should make you feel.
I couldn’t explain it in other words. It was a dream. Yes, a nightmare which ending was yet untold...
