“Go on! Kiss my shoes!” Diva, the queen bee commanded.
Her minions gathered around her like loyal subjects. While other students watched. A scholarship student knelt beside Diva on the floor, tears streamed down her face as Diva's fans cheered, while others who hated her bullying act felt pity for the girl. She hesitated but Diva glared at her.
“Are you deaf?” She yelled. The girl leaned forward, her lips brushing against Diva's designer shoes as she kissed them.
The Elite girls: Riley, Agatha and Christie, sneered at her. Agatha, the dumbest of the group, chimed with her usual brand of stupidity.
“Yeah, kiss them good! Maybe you'll get a scholarship to kiss her feet every day!”
The student's tears flowed harder.
Down the hall River stood in her plain black hoodie and straight-leg jeans, her fist clenched unconsciously as she glared at Diva with anger.
River began to move towards the scene but stopped herself. She realized that intervening would only shift the attention to her, and since she wasn't ready to face Diva's wrath today. If she found someone else to bully then it's good. Not her. So She stood there watching as the student kissed Diva's shoes.
Just as the scene was reaching its c****x, the hallway erupted into chaos as Axel Bronte walked in with his friends, Mason, Noah and Carl. His hair was dyed a deep rich purple and was perfectly messy. His usual piercing on his eyebrow.
He wore a black shirt unbuttoned to his chest. A chunky silver chain hung around his neck. Faded ripped designer jeans clung to his leg, tucked into a scuffed black combat boot.
The girls around went wild.
“I love you, Axel,” they screamed, throwing kisses at him; some took pictures.
Diva sashayed over to Axel and planted a kiss on his lips making the other girls jealous. Axel slammed her to his chest, squeezed her butt as he reciprocated the kiss.
Carl, Mason and Noah watched with their mouths wide.
“f**k it, Axel!” Noah exclaimed, shaking his head “You're such a dog!”.
The group walked away leaving him.
Agatha, standing beside Riley and Christie shrieked with a grin
“Oh my gosh! They're so meant to be. They're like two peas in a pod…or like two lips on a face!”.
Riley and Christie rolled their eyes embarrassed
“Agatha, just shut up!” Christie whispered but she continued as she stared dreamily.
“I know, right? They're like the queen and king of the school. Maybe they'll have a royal baby.”
Diva broke the kiss and smiled sarcastically at Agatha.
“Thanks, Agatha, you're so sweet”.
Agatha smiled oblivion to the sarcasm.
“Anytime Diva, I'm so happy for you guys”.
“Stupid freaks!” Emily scoffed watching the scene. She quickly covered her face with a hoodie and slipped away unnoticed.
As she walked through the hallway with her face to the ground, she bumped into someone.
“ Ouch!” The voice shrieked.
“River? Is that you?”
River looked up to see her friend Emily rubbing her forehead in pain.
“Wassup? I've been looking everywhere for you.”
“I'm sorry”. River apologized
“What's wrong?” Emily asked her concern.
“I saw the Elite gals. They are just too cruel.” River said.
“I know it's sickening!”
“I didn't see you yesterday!”
“ Yeah, guess what? I went to that party at Kyle's place yesterday! And it was so amazing. Everyone was there - like even Axel and his friends.” River watched as her friend said excitedly.
“And guess what!”
River sighed, frustrated. “Emy, I can't guess!”
Emily rolled her eyes. “Well, Axel is having a party, too! We should go, I know you aren't a party type but all the same_”
“I'm not coming, if Axel's throwing a party, the Elite girls will be there!” River said angrily.
“No one will touch, I'm going to be there, Reeve! Please! I can't lend you my clothes if you don't have what to wear_”
“Oops! You are too big for my dress, but we can go shopping!” Emily quickly said.
“So you're saying I'm fat!” River asked.
Emily blinked innocently.
“ No, I just said my clothes aren't your size_”
River walked out.
“River, don't be mad! I didn't mean it that way! I have a Stats class. I'll talk to you by 5pm” Emily yelled at River's departing figure.

Axel met his friends at their usual hangout spot, a rooftop at school.
Noah watched as Axel sat calmly pressing his phone; he walked up to him and sat beside him.
“What the heck are you doing” he asked
“Like?” Axel asked his gaze not leaving his phone.
“We all know you don't like Diva? What changed?”
“Like I care what you think!” Axel snapped.
“Diva's got her uses!” He stated.
“Yeah, maybe he's just testing the waters!”
Liam chuckled while Mason snorted
“Uses? Dude, you're not exactly known for your emotional depth!”,
Axel raised a brow his gaze flickered to Mason
“And you're?” He asked
Noah stepped forward. “ Axel, c'mon, you can't just date Diva and pretend like everything is okay. She's still bullying students, and you're just enabling her because your parents are business partners!”
Axel shrugged “ Not my problem”

5pm came all too quickly; River gathered her books, pushing a few stray strands of hair behind her hair as she picked up her bag and walked out of class.
She noticed Axel and his friends were not in class today and she remembered Emily had asked her to wait by 5, but she wanted to pee. Just as she left the class,
Riley came out of the corner and smirked at her.
River felt relieved to free the pressure From her bladder
She threw the door open and walked out to wash her hands just to meet Riley, Christie and Agatha. She looked around for Diva but didn't see her.
“ Going somewhere?” Christie asked as a smirk appeared on her lips.
River swallowed “I'm just heading home”
“Oh! I thought you might want to hang out with us!” Christie said.
River blinked “Weird! When exactly did I start hanging out with Diva and her friends”
But then Agatha whispered almost immediately “ No, Christie. Diva said to give her a gift!”
“Agatha, can you be quiet!” Christie snapped.
“No thanks! I'm good!” River turned down their offer but then she felt a cold sensation cascading over her head and face.
She gasped and looked up and in shock!
Water_ no, toilet water dripped down her clothes, soaking her wet.
She screamed.
“Your welcome, miss chubby-fat I'm seeing you like your gift.” Christie smiled.
“It's a high-quality bath time, Chubby; I can't believe you're getting a free facial with poop!” Agatha said while the others laughed.
“Isn't this the height of it!” River thought as tears welled in her eyes.
“What did I do to you?” Her voice came out low and broken.
Riley opened her phone camera, took pictures and even posed feigning a shocked expression on River's behalf.
“Riley, why are you so good on cameras? If cameras could run away, mine would have a marathon record!” Agatha whined as she checked out Riley's shots.
“This will make top-head news!” Christie said.
And with a lady look at River “ Thanks for hanging out with us! Wasn't it fun!”
She asked.
Tears rolled down Rivers' cheeks.
“Let's go girls!”. Christie said.
River stared down at her clothes; the smell was awful, and the dripping water formed a puddle around her.
She rushed to the bathroom and turned on the shower to wash but nothing came out of the faucet. No water.
“No, please!” She begged, panicking. She twisted the handle furiously as she realized that the school had run out of water.
She screamed and sank to the ground. Tears spilled from her eyes.
“ How will I go home!” she mumbled
Minutes passed, she stood up angrily, walked to the door and yanked it open. With a heavy heart, she took her backpack and walked out of school; people held their breath along the hallway.
“ Eew!” A girl shrieked as she covered her nose.
“Gosh did she bathe in poop?”
“What a new perfume!”
Comments flew by as she walked, she tried to hold her tears in.
River sat on the lawn chair as she waited for the bus outside.
“I said it! Tuesdays are so bad!
why I'm I always so unlucky, just as I thought I could survive a day without getting bullied”. She inwardly screamed. “if I get into the bus, the stares will get worse!”
“ And people will think I'm mad or I slept in the gutter, next I will be dragged to the psychiatry home” She mumbled.
She shook her head, took her bag and resolved to trek home.
By the time she got home it was dark, she opened the door and shut it close.
Then her eyes caught Matthew kissing his girlfriend Finley on the couch.
She hissed loudly and angrily, the love birds broke apart startled just to see Riley.
“River what's wrong!” Matthew asked.
River ignored them, stormed up the stairs to her room while clenching her jaws to keep her tears from spilling out.
Just then Finley gasped, pinching her nose. “Woah ! What's that smell?”
River shut the door angrily on her brother's face, dropped her backpack with a heavy thud on the floor, and dashed to the bathroom.
She stripped off her clothes, turned on the shower in full blast, while she grabbed a body wash, poured into the sponge and began her body furiously.
The tears she was holding began to flow as she sank to her knees and began to cry.
“Why do others always pick on me?” She muttered
Minutes went by before she finally walked out of the bathroom, she wore a pair of comfortable Bermuda shorts and a polo before she sank into bed and stared sadly at the ceiling.
A soft knock sounded on the door
“River? Are you coming downstairs for Dinner?” Gigi asked
“I'm not hungry!” She snapped back and pulled the blanket over her head.
After a moment of pause she heard Gigi leave.
“Mom, won't listen to me , she doesn't even know what I face in school! Does she even care!” She mumbled angrily.
“Only thing she does is to give motivational speeches like that will solve everything”
Her phone rang snapping her out of her thoughts, ‘Emily’ appeared on the screen, she let it go to voicemail before picking on the second ring.
“Reeve, are you okay?” Emily's voice rasped immediately when she picked the call.
“I'm fine!” River mumbled.
“I was looking for you, someone said you went home!_”
“River! I'm sorry I heard what happened”
River sat quietly on the bed as she listened to Emily, fresh tears began to fall.
“ It's fine!” River said.
“I promise I will deal with those bastards.” Emily said angrily.
River dropped her phone when the call ended and went to stare at herself on the full mirror in her room
“But I'm I actually fine?” she mumbled touching her face.
Her stomach growled, reminding her that she hadn't eaten.
She yanked her door open and went downstairs to pick her food “Damn Diva and her minions”.
