Germany's Beginning

Chapter one

                                                                                      The Couple

    It was quiet, like cricket sound quiet, but even a cricket wasn't making a noise, maybe because it was the middle of winter. I was sitting in the middle of the cafeteria, everyone was eating lunch, but why was it so quiet? Usually everyone was talking, yelling, or messing around, but not today. Everyone was looking up. The shyest kid in school, his name was Erik, he just.. just... he was just hanging there from the school rafters, he hung himself.. I know he was most likely bullied but, I didn't think it was so bad that he would kill himself. But I noticed something no one else did, I saw a shadow move away from the top floor, was he murdered? or did someone try to stop him? Well school got closed for the rest of the week, and it's only Monday.

        My boyfriend, Jack, picked me up outside the school that day, he got out of the car and came to the passenger side of his convertible, Jack was hot, and I mean top model hot, 10 out of 10. He had these gorgeous green eyes that went perfectly with his semi short hair, his hair went just above his ears and his smile, he had the perfect smile that went perfect with his pearly white teeth, and he was tall, at least 6 foot 4 inches. People told me that him and I went together perfectly like spaghetti and meatballs or macaroni and cheese. But I didn't think so, I mean my features were nothing compared to his, I had this long brownish hair that went down to the middle of my back, with hazel eyes and not at all perfect teeth, i mean yes they were pearly white,but they were crooked and chipped, and i was not nearly as tall as him, I believed, I mean I'm 5 foot 9 inches.

    He opened the door for me. I got into his vehicle and smiled at him, he treated me so nicely, I hated that he wastes his time with me, I explained this to my friends and they just tell me I'm incredibly lucky or someone dared him to date me and he actually fell for me or something around that matter. Today he was taking me home, I didn't feel like doing anything today, you see, Erik, he was one of my friends, to be exact, he was one of my best friends, and he never told me he was bullied. So I don't think he was actually bullied, I believe he was murdered, but by who, I think I already know, this guy hated Erik, and I had to do something about it, I don't take kindly to anyone hurting, let alone murdering my friends, like anyone would take kindly to it. 

    We pulled in front of my house, my house was huge, it had three stories, but secretly it had a 4th and 5th. The secret floors belonged to my dad, it was his lab, my dad likes to run experiments. I leaned over and gave Jack a kiss and thanked him for the ride home and i ran inside.

"I'm Home." I called.

"Downstairs." I hear over the intercom.

    My dad had these intercoms installed all over the house, which all in all it was great. I went to the basement and saw him doing some more tests on rats and mice, which some died and some didn't. he looked over at me and smiled, but he knows when something is wrong, I grew up with him, and he always knew when something was wrong. You see my mother passed away when I was maybe four or five years old. My father never even struggled to raise me, he raised me to be how he wanted me to be, a smart, brave girl, not afraid of anything, and to speak my mind when I want or when I think something is wrong.

"Tell me, what's wrong?" He asked.

"Someone killed Erik today in school, school is shut down the rest of this week." I said.

"And you know who the killer is, I'm taking it?" he questioned.

"Yes, and I have to handle it." I answered.

"Okay." he said turning back to his studies. "Sit down, I have something to test on you."

    I sat down in my normal chair as he came close to me with a purple  liquid in a syringe. My dad likes to test his creations on me, which I didn't care I was raised this way, I have only been rushed to the hospital once and he lied to the doctors saying i accidentally ingested rat poison, which the serum tested like for the doctors, even though that's not what my father gave me. Today's serum felt like a burning sensation through my entire body and I saw stars for a few seconds only to be able to hear and see better. I told this to my father and he was delighted telling me that it was permanent. 

    After the testing was done i walked upstairs to do my homework and then go out for a jog. As I jogged around the neighborhood I noticed every little detail in everyone's house, it was amazing. But I had a destination. I ran to Jacks house, you see Jack had murdered Erik, Erik had a crush on me since third grade and wouldn't drop it even after he got punched by Jack. Erik was really bothering Jack and wanting him to just end it, Erik thought that Jack was just using me, and wanted me for his pleasures. I know Erik really loved me and I really should have gone with him instead, he treated me like I was his queen, he never hurt my feelings or anything, but now I couldn't give him a chance at all, Jack ruined it all. 

    As I approached his house I noticed only his vehicle was in the driveway, I had gotten a weird feeling in my stomach, I ignored that feeling and went up to his door and knocked.

"Hello, Oh! Hey Germany, what are you doing here? If you wanted to come over, you could of told me and I wouldn't have dropped you off at your house. Come on in." He said as he moved aside so i could go past him. His parents weren't home, I was never allowed here if they weren't home. I walked into his family room and sat down on the couch and looked at him.
