Dylan

As I looked around, I saw my parents with big smiles on their faces, I saw Ash's parents mimicking my parents and all our friends, I than look up to the altar to see Eddie on one side and Conner on the other side and I realize they were going to be our best man.

I had tears in my eyes, yes I was being such a girl but who cares, hell you would be too if you saw the man you been pining for f*****g 11 years on his knee showing me a ring, I wanted to jump up and down, I wanted to squeal like a high school girl, I wanted to twitter, and post it on face book.’’ eek Ash is proposing, I mentally snort at that.

I felt someone tugging my hand, I blinked and turn to look at Ash who was pouting at me, then it hit me f**k I haven't given him and answer.

I smile and look him straight in the eyes and said, ‘’f**k yes.’’ He smiles and was about to slide the ring on my finger but then someone tackle him to the ground.

‘’Hell no! I get to hold the ring, I'm his best man/best friend, god you’re so stupid.’’ Exclaimed an annoyed Eddie.

‘’Goddamn it, did you have to tackle me?’’  Said a pissed Ash, but he wasn't pissed it actually seem like they like each other, Eddie can be a little obnoxious at times, ok all the time who am I trying to fool here, but I still wouldn’t change him, I love him the way he is.

So Ash turns to me and smiles big, he grab my hand and we walked up to the altar together, I sob a bit this was it, me and Ash was finally going to be together, you could tell Ash was thinking the same thing, he had tears in his eyes but at the same time he was looking at me with so much love and joy, he had a hard grip on my hand as if he was scare I'd disappear, never my dear Ash, never again.

The priest started talking, ‘’do you guys want to say your own vows?’’ He asked us, and we both nodded a quick yes, no I wasn’t prepared but I've been in love with this man for half my life and I knew what I was going to say. Ash started first.

FROM ASH TO DYLAN

‘’I wed thee, Dylan, not to have, but to be my friend; not to hold, but to share my life.

I promise you my love and affection so long as there is in me the strength to draw a breath. I will make my love a resting place by caring and nurturing and supporting and listening. I will always seek to be honest and forthright with you, though it may sometimes frighten me to do so. I promise to conduct myself honorably and in ways that will never undermine my trustworthiness in your eyes. I will try always to be as good as that person whose courage first enabled him to reach out to you, who cast his bread upon the waters and whose reward is embodied in our wedding today. I will act to protect my health so that we may share a long and fruitful life

Together . . . full of joy and love. . . And if I should live forever and all my dreams come true . . . my memories of love will be of you.’’ I could see the love he has for me in his eyes.

I gasp he literally took my breath away; his vows were beautiful, and he said them with so much emotion, I had tears in my eyes.

Then it was my turn.

‘’I love you. And when I tell you I love you; this is what I mean:

You are the one for whom I have waited. You have brought me more peace and steadiness than I have ever known, and the days since you came back into my life, have been the best days of my life. Your ready smile, your deep convictions, your passion and compassion, your beauty, your laughter, your sense of adventure, your intelligence, your wisdom, your faith, your courage, your kindness and the lessons of your experience enrich me in every moment I spend with you. I offer you my history, with its pride and its regret; my future, walking with you wherever we go; this present moment, which explodes with more joy than a moment should be able to hold. All my joy and fears, my brokenness and my courage, my success and failure, my humor and despair, my loneliness and my connectedness.’’ I took a small breath, and by now I was full on crying, I was so happy. But I continue with my vows, Ash was crying as well.

 ‘’I promise to laugh with you and to laugh at myself. I promise to take you seriously when seriousness is called for. I promise to hold you while you cry, and to cry while you hold me. I promise to care for you as best I can, and to encourage you to stretch and grow and care for yourself. I promise to love and nourish myself, as a child of God and as the one whom you have chosen. I promise to support you in sharing your gifts with others, to encourage your generosity and your chosen responses to your many callings. I promise to listen to you, respect and consider your thoughts and beliefs, and to heed your challenges to my own. I promise to rest with you, and to seek balance between work and play. I promise to seek God with you, bravely and constantly, holding you closer than any other human to the heart of my heart, with only God in the very center. I promise you nothing less than the rest of my life. You are my closest friend, and I give you myself. This is what I mean when I tell you that I love you. From this moment on you are my husband, and, with Divine assistance, I promise to be your loving and faithful husband for the rest of our lives.’’

I finish and I was still sobbing but then so was Ash. ‘’May I pleased have the rings.’’  The priest speaks up.

Eddie hand it to me as he winks, I smile at him.

Conner did the same to Ash.

We slid the rings on each other’s fingers, and the priest said. ‘’What god has joined no one can destroyed, I declare you partners for life, you may seal with a kiss. ‘’He finishes, and Ash started leaning into me, and then it happened. ‘’STOP DON'T DO IT!’’ That dreadful voice shouts out making everyone gasp.

I was petrified and so was Ash and Conner, what the hell?
