CHAPTER 40 Rory didn’t manage to follow Roaming for very long before she stumbled. Her weak legs buckled. He didn’t let go of her arm, didn’t even stop, as if he hadn’t noticed that he was now dragging her along the ground. The rough stone floor shredded her silks, exposing and grazing the skin beneath.
