Chapter Eleven – Wedding Plans
Kathy awoke from a dream of Jeff. They had just come home from a party with friends. He’d hung their coats in the closet and come up behind her in the kitchen where she’d been preparing their coffee for the morning. She felt his strong arms encircle her waist and was turning to lift her head to kiss him when Miko grabbed her shoulder and shook her awake.
“It is ten o’clock. Much to do, so get up,” Miko said. Mi Jong stood beside the older woman. Both of them glared down at Kathy. Miko pointed toward the bathroom.
