Miller
Right after Brittany and I were done with our play time in the kitchen we went to get ready. On our way up the stairs I noticed Sam closing her door behind her. Fifteen minutes later I am downstairs ready for the day. Marcus is the first one to join me. I am fighting the urge to bombard him with questions about what happened last night. Obviously I know more than he thinks but I don't want to give away all that I know.
"So you, John, Sarah and Sam didn't come home after dinner. We stayed up and had a bonfire."
"Oh yeah the girls wanted to go out after. They were going to take an Uber so we decided to just tag along."
"Well that was very chivalrous of you."
"Believe me it was more than chivalry that had me offering our time. Those two were dressed to kill last night, it was my duty to save all the poor suckers out there from heart ache," he chuckled.
"I am sure it was a hardship on you."
"If my night was a hardship, I hope all my nights are hardships," he says with a grin.
I feel my guts twist and I have to change the subject. Lucky for me by that time all the other guys have joined us.
"So, we going for a hike, I am told,"John says.
"Yup, just a short one, we are going to meet the girls for a late lunch at the club after."
"Sounds good to me," John says.
"Oh, John are you sure that you are up for the exercise after your escapades last night with Sam?" Danielle says coming into the room with a wicked smirk.
"What the f**k are you talking about?" Marcus asks obviously pissed at the insinuation.
"Oh I caught the culprit sneaking out of John's room this morning. Did you have a good time big boy?"
"I don't know what the f**k you are talking about," John replies blushing.
I am confused as well because I definitely heard Sam's voice coming from Marcus's room last night. There is no way that she would be with John too. But John looks guilty and Danielle looks smug. I don't know what the hell to believe. I haven't seen Sam in years but I just can't picture her being that promiscuous.
"Oh sweetheart, don't deny it I saw her carrying her clothes out as well. She made some lame excuse that you were letting her use your shower since she had to share a bathroom with Sarah. I can see that is a lie now or you would be telling the same story."
"Danielle obviously you like spreading lies," Marcus spits.
"John am I lying?" Danielle asks.
"You aren't lying but you also aren't telling the truth. Sam was at my room this morning waking me up to get ready for the hike but we did not spend the night together."
Just at this time the rest of the house joins us, including Sam.
"Oh here is the little tramp now. Sam I was just sharing with everyone how you spent the night with John."
"What?" Sam asked getting angry. I watched her eyes swing to Marcus and I can see shame cross her features and I can see hurt cross his.
"You are such a b***h! If everyone must stick their noses in peoples business, I was the one with John last night. You just caught my best friend cleaning up after me. And just so you know Danielle he's as good as you imagined. Jealousy really doesn't look good on you honey," Sarah says in her most bitchy voice and then walks over to John and pulls him in for a smoldering kiss.
I always liked Sarah. Danielle is the friend of Brittany's I like least. She loves stirring the pot and seeing her face as she watched the display in front of her was priceless.
Sarah pulls away with a loud smack and says "have fun on your hike lover and don't use up all your energy," she winks and her and Sam walk to the coffee pot.
I look around and see everyone slack jaw. Danielle turns round and storms off and Brittany looks pissed as well. I don't understand why.
"So we ready for the hike?" Marcus asks.
"Yeah let's go."
Ten minutes later we are at the trail head and I use the physical exertion to clear my head. I was keeping a pace ahead of the rest because I didn't want to hear anymore stories about what happened last night or this morning. I noticed that Marcus didn't stick up for Sam about where she really was the night before. At first I think he might have been thinking the same thing I was, was it possible that she was with them both. But he was out with Sarah and John too so he had to know they were together right? There are so many question but I didn't know if I wanted to know the answers.
"Hey, slow down champ. It isn't a race," Marcus breaks me out of my thoughts coming up to my side.
"Just trying to clear my mind."
"What's wrong bud? You seem to have been lost in thought all weekend."
"I don't know. I can't turn my mind off. I don't even know what is bothering me but I just feel off. I think it might be because I am leaving. I am scared of what I am leaving behind."
"Why?"
"I guess I just get this feeling that leaving will change everything. What if I leave and lose it all?"
"Lose what? Do you mean Brittany?"
"No, I don't know what I mean. Brittany is so supportive of this and I doubt she would leave me and I don't plan on treating her in a way that would make her leave. I just have this feeling in my gut that something bad will happen."
"Listen, everyone here will be just fine. We are all going to be safe and sound the real person to be scared for is yourself. You are going to be the one out there needing a clear head to think. I am scared shitless about what is going to happen to you, what you will see what it will do to you."
"I haven't reached that point yet. I am sure it will all change once I am over there. Why don't you tell me something to take my mind off things?"
"How do you feel about the whole John and Sarah thing?"
"Well seeing as I was hoping you and Sarah would hit it off I was kinda surprised. I will say I was way more surprised when Danielle was accusing Sam of being with John."
"That threw me too. I wasn't sure why Sam would be in his room this morning."
"Well you must have seen John and Sarah together last night right?" I asked and then watched him closely for his reaction.
"Yeah but Sam and I left the club before them."
"Oh yeah, why? Didn't enjoy the music, the dancing?"
"Actually we both really liked the club but it was late and we were ready to come back. You are still ok with me asking her out right?"
"Of course. Did you ask her yet?"
"Not officially but I told her I wanted to spend some more time with her."
"Well that's great."
"I think so. So what do you think the girls are doing now that Sarah managed to piss them all off?"
"What do you mean them all? Only Danielle was pissed, she has been trying to get with John for a long time."
"Did you not see Brittany's death stare. I think that Sarah and Sam have targets on their backs. They are the outsiders to the rest of them."
I hadn't thought about that but now I remember I told Brittany to invite them to go shopping. Brittany isn't that petty though she wouldn't be bitchy just because Sarah slept with John. It's not like someone slept with me.
Sam
It was a very awkward trip. We all piled into a Suburban so we could take just one car and have room for shopping bags. It was quiet and I could tell there was a common consensus in the car. Everyone was judging Sarah. Now we were at the first boutique and Sarah and I were still looking through everything while Brittany and her posé were in the dressing room. I had a few items and so did Sarah so we make our way back to share a room.
"I think that girl was just covering for the slut," we heard come from the room next to ours. I motioned to Sarah to be quiet so we can listen without being detected.
"I knew it yesterday when she was running up and down the grass with those boys that she was a tramp. She liked getting tackled far too much. She is one of those girls that says she get's along with boys better because all the girls know she is a slut. I am surprised she even has any girlfriends."
"Did you see her outfit today? What guy would even find that attractive? She never would have got John if she didn't dress like she did last night. She looked like she was working the street."
"Brittany are you sure that her and Miller never had a thing?"
"Oh girls trust me if they had she wouldn't be here now. Miller shared his roster with me and she was not on it. He wouldn't lie. John is single so she might have loose morals and one night stands but at least she isn't a home wrecker. I will make sure that her and Miller don't ever have any time alone because obviously she is a master manipulator, John never sleeps around."
"Even if she had been with Miller she can not compete with you. She has no style and obviously she lacks grace."
I listen to it all and then I heard them walking away. I didn't even notice that I had tears falling down my cheeks until Sarah reached up and wiped them away.
"I will f*****g kill them for you!"
"It doesn't matter nothing they said was true."
"Exactly! You have more grace then anyone I have ever met. They are jealous and threaten because you are the real deal. You don't have to beat anyone down to make yourself stand out."
"I feel bad for John. They have it in their minds we slept together and he will never live it down."
"Don't worry, I am pretty sure they all know the truth anyways but I will make sure there is no doubt in their minds the next time we are together. Now try your clothes on and let's get you cleaned up so you don't show them they got to you."
"You think they knew we were in the stall next to them?"
"No but I think they wouldn't care if you were. You are better than them and you should not feel bad one bit about what happened last night or with whom you partook in those activities with."
"You're right."
We spent the next ten minutes trying on the clothes we brought in and cleaning my face and reapplying makeup so you can't tell I was crying. Once we were done we came out and went to the register to buy our items. I caught Brittany and gang out of the corner of my eye and I could tell they all seemed a little on edge that we came out from the dressing rooms. Maybe they cared more than Sarah thought they would on whether I heard them.
"You girls ready?" I asked once we made our purchases.
"Yeah," Brittany said. "We got one more boutique to stop by and then we can head to lunch."
"Sounds marvelous, I am famished," Sarah said in her best upperclass voice. "All that bumping and grinding this morning and no breakfast I am dead on my feet," she said with a bright smile to the whole group. I had to hide my laugh behind a cough.
Sarah put her arm through mine and we followed the rest of them outside. "What time did you and John get back to the house last night?" I asked loud enough for them to hear.
"We didn't get home until about 2:00 am. We were having way too much fun dancing at the club. He is a very good dancer. I guess that is why his rhythm is so good in bed. With me being a gymnast I have the stamina and flexibility to take everything he was giving. And man that boy has a huge.."
"Here we are ladies. Please remember this is a classy place while you are in here use your manners please," Brittany said staring straight at Sarah and I and again I had to hide my laugh. You really couldn't ask for a better friend.
I heard nothing else from any of the girls and an hour later we were pulling up to the country club for lunch. I was really happy that the men would be here to keep Sarah from ripping out all these girls eyes. Maybe I could talk one of the guys into giving us a ride so we didn't have to go back with them.
"Sam, you may want to change into one of the outfits you bought today. There are standards here and I think they might refuse you service. Denim is prohibited," Brittany said all snotty.
"Oh well if that's the case once they do I will just head back to the cabin. I can get an Uber if I need to so I don't ruin your afternoon." I give her a smile and walk into the club and up to the reception area. "Mama, I am here with a big party for a luncheon, I was just wondering if what I am wearing is ok?" I ask the hostess.
"Of course you look darling. I believe the men in your party are already here I can lead you back."
"Thank you so much." I take Sarah's arm again and we follow her to the table. It is all I can do to not turn around and throw nasty looks at the bitches behind me. I keep reminding myself I only have to play nice one more day. I can do that for Miller.
"Oh, Sam dear you look so cute. I love that outfit on you," Mrs. Miller says coming over to give me a hug. I never knew that overalls would be such a topic of discussion.
"Thank you Mrs. Miller," I say returning her hug. Looking over her shoulder I catch the rest of the table and lock on Marcus. He has a huge smile on his face and is staring directly at me.
"Come on girls come join us. I went ahead and ordered a few bottles of wine," Mr. Miller says. I take a seat by Marcus and Sarah sits next to me. I see John looking at her over his glass of water he is drinking. She gives him a come hither look and it takes him less than a minute to change seats to be next to her. It isn't like it's a secret the whole house knows by now but Sarah decides to make sure there is no confusion about who slept with who, and she pulls him in for a sultry hello kiss.
"God, get a room!" Brittany says.
The two pull apart with big smiles. I realize that I hadn't really talked to Sarah about what happened last night. She has always been more s****l but the way she is looking at John, I have never seen her look that way before.
"So how was your shopping trip?" Miller asked Brittany. I watched her eyes swing to me. I guess she knows I heard what they were saying and she obviously knows after the kiss displayed here that what we said this morning was true. She is scared I will blab, that is the problem with bullies, they are insecure and scared and that makes them continue their lies and hatred.
"It was fine..."
"I never knew how sexy overalls could be," Marcus whispers in my ear, distracting me from the lies Brittany is no doubtedly spouting.
I look to him and his eyes are filled with lust. I bit down on my lower lip and I watch his lips part and he takes a deep steadying breath and I hear the smallest groan in his chest.
"You are an enigma, Sam."
"How's that?"
"Well you are secure and confident in yourself, body and soul, you are fierce and strong, but you are also shy and innocent and it drives me crazy with lust. I feel like a guy built you in a lab as the perfect girl. Sometimes I think I am dreaming you up." He slides his hand up and down my thigh while whispering to me.
There is truth in everything he says but I am far from perfect. His hand is leaving small electric shocks in its wake. I let out a really small moan. Luckily it is noisy and no one hears what we are saying.
"You are so responsive. I want to take you back to bed and listen to you make those noises all day."
"If we do that we won't be able to spend our last day with Miller."
"He is lucky he is my best friend and cousin because it will be painful resisting you."
We joined back in with the rest of the parties conversation but Marcus's hand stayed on my leg throughout lunch. It brought me comfort and made me want to rip his clothes off. While we were discreet, John and Sarah were on full display and full out s****l, feeding each other and sharing kisses, giving zero f***s of peoples thoughts or opinions. I love her and I am happy she seems so happy.
