Kaila's POV
I am alone now. Outside our house, on our terrace, sitting down fastening my legs. I am feeling now the breeze of the air. It's so cold like Geo's coldness towards me. I don't know why he just reciprocates the past, our families' past I mean. Every time l saw him cry, I also cry, and we ended up crying out together. Our parents would just wonder why. But now he's a different person. The memory of the past is now covered by what our parents have done. Grow is completely against it. He is driven by a force, a force of his own will, telling him that it was not his choice to choose me.
I can still remember how we loved each other. I can still paint a picture of him. We used to go together everywhere. I always defended him from those bullies in our school.
"Forever?" I asked.
"Forever!" He repeated.
We're holding hands as we went to school. We promised to be together until death.
I smiled at him and he gave me my smile back. He pressed my nose, and pinch his face.
"You're cute!" He told me, smiling.
"Are you kidding me?" I denied.
I hit him on his left side.
"Why are you looking at me, huh?"
"I, uh, ...look at the bird!" He pointed out his finger above.
"You're lying! There's no..." He pressed his lips into mine. He then turned his head away from me, smiling.
He looked at me.
"What?" He asked me, pretending as if nothing happened.
I didn't answer him. Instead, I grabbed his neck and pressed my lips back to him for about five seconds.
"You like it?"
"Nuh, ...I mean, yes!" He shook his head, then nodded. He didn't know what to answer.
He looked at his shoes then returned to my eyes.
"Are you sure?"
"How about going to the park this afternoon?"
"I know you, Geo! You're used to making excuses."
"Okay, what do you want?"
"Nothing, let's just go to school. We'll be late!"
We enjoy the day with our classmates. The greatest burden of our parents every time we played at school was the dirt of our uniform, especially if we only have one air of it. Out mothers would try to soak it inside the basin with Zonrox or chlorine so that it would be used the following day.
Geo loved reading novels. I loved it too. I think I've read more than a hundred of them. He loved dancing, but I loved singing. He loved guitar, but I loved ukulele. He was famous and I was a mere simple girl. Many girls were after him, and I was one of them. To tell you honestly up until now. He's been my crush since I realized the existence of the world. I admired him a lot, and he only showed friendly affection. Kissing him was not a sign of true love. He wanted to uncover things more than that. That is why he is now trying to reject me, avoid me. He is so cold. My best friend is now my worst enemy. It's all because of our parents. If I will blame somebody, it would always be my father and mother. Sometimes, I hate them, but most of the time I love them. Maybe because they're my parents.
But, how about Geo? Does he feel that same love for his mother and father? For sure he hates them too. Why is he angry when both our parents agreed to make us boyfriend and girlfriend? We looked like the way they thought of us when we're young.
Maybe, it's because I am not his type. Or perhaps, he just hates his patents. I don't know exactly.
I was still wondering and questioning myself when I felt someone tap my back: my mom. Was she standing there for a long period?
"What are you thinking?" I looked at her then continued bracing my legs. I put my chin to my knees.
"Is everything okay?" She added.
"You know darling, you can share with me all your ups and downs. I am here for you, as your mother."
I can't control my emotions. I was still feeling the hurt inside me. I encircled my hands to my mother's entire body.
"Am I ugly, Mom?"
"What kinda question is that?" She looked at the door, then returned her gaze to me. "You know it, darling! You that you're beautiful."
"Then, why is Geo doing this to me? Why does he want to defy his parents?"
"He doesn't disobey us, darling. He is disobeying his feelings that were long forgotten."
She sighed.
"Aren't you feeling sleepy?" She yawned. Her mouth was big, and what's he did was unethical. I didn't dare to correct her.
I looked at the wall clock. It was 1:45 a.m.
"I think so. Let's go!" I beckoned my mom to come inside.
"Are you now okay, Kaila?
" Yeah!"
"You sure?"
"Yes, Mom!" I sounded tired.
"Keep moving forward, okay. I know you can do it." She stopped thinking about what to say next.
I didn't actually sleep when I entered my room. I know she was just concerned. But what I was feeling was eating me up. But I can't also deny that it's their fault why Geo has become wild and arrogant.
I am really hoping that everything will be okay. I know that time will come that he will accept me. And I won't surrender him, no matter what asunder I will be facing.
It's been forty minutes of being alone when I heard someone is knocking on the door. At first, I was thinking that it was from our neighbor's door. I wasn't able to hear clearly. Maybe because of the music.
I opened the door. I saw the most handsome in my world of imagination. His voice is soft. He has an elongated nose. He is completely handsome. All about him is enticing. He also has fine skin. Geo?
