Well Kath, here we are on the transport and I can tell you it is hot. We’re all fed up with looking at each other and with waiting. We never got off the ship at Fremantle and we’re not getting off at Columbo or anywhere else before we get There.
The officers can go onshore so Vic McGuigan is going to buy us some grog. We will buy you something when we land at wherever we’re going.
I reckon this book will tell some tales before I am finished. Funny thing, Ma gave me the same book as a goodbye present. So here it is Volume One and Volume Two is all ready for the way back. Lots of us have diaries and everyone is writing about the big adventure.
