Revelations

“Thanks for saving me back there!” Connor said as we jumped into his car. I was glad he agreed to be a sober driver for the night saying that I probably needed the dutch courage more than him. “Anytime! I thought you would be loving all that female attention” I reply, seriously wondering why he wasn’t lapping it up and grabbing their numbers. I mean as much as I dislike those girls, they are very attractive and Connor doesn’t know that they are my bullies from high school. He didn’t reply and just shrugged. Oh my god! I hope he didn’t think tonight was actually a date and was holding out for me. I suddenly felt really awkward about his presence, he was a lovely guy and pretty good looking however even before I knew I had a chance with Blake I had decided we were better off as friends. “Connor…… I…” I didn’t know how to bring it up. I didn’t want to hurt him and I especially didn’t want to lose him as a friend. “Spit it out Beth” “I just wondered if you thought of tonight as a date?” I said as I thought asking first might be a be way around the sensitive conversation. “errr…” Was all he could say while scratching the back of his neck nervously. “Geez now who isn’t spitting it out” I reply laughing trying to make light of this conversation. “I…. I have a confession, I don’t want you to get mad but…..” I just kept looking at him, why is he so uneasy all of a sudden. “Initially I did think we could spark up something, but I have since gotten feelings for somebody else, please don’t be mad at me as I think we make good friends” I just sighed with relief out loud. “Thank god, I was worried I was going to have to let you down easy” I laughed “Gee don’t seem too sad about it now” He laughed in returned. I'm so glad that this wasn’t as awkward as I thought it was going to be. The rest of the drive home was not awkward at all and we even laughed about how Gabby practically threw herself at him; a complete stranger, and the look on their faces when we left. We were about half way home and I was practically dieing of laughter. “Soooooo missy where did you disappear for half the night?” Ahh I was hoping he would forget about that and not bring it up. All in all I was gone for over an hour and I didn’t know how to lie myself out of it. “Who is the lucky lady that you are interested in?” I say in reply trying to change the conversation off myself. He just started laughing, and I didn’t see what was so funny. “What's so funny!” I squeal “Bethany, Bethany, Bethany” He just says while shaking his head in a disapproving tone. “I am not going tell you my dirty little secrets if you wont tell me yours” He finishes. By his unwillingness to tell me I figured its got to be someone I know that he knows, which isn’t a long list considering we haven't known each other for that long. I couldn’t for the life of me think of who it was. “Come one, pleaaasse tell me, I wont tell anyone” I plead. “A secret for a secret, or I'm not saying anything” I just slumped in my car seat. I couldn’t tell Connor about Blake could I? I mean he is Blakes colleague and we hadn’t even spoken about how secret our little hook up was. But, I mean I cant keep this to myself I will go crazy, and I am slightly drunk so I can just blame the alcohol. “Promise” I said “Promise” I continued to tell him how I hooked up with Blake in his office and that it was amazing. I skipped out on the part where we used to have casual s*x ten years ago when I was seventeen and he was my teacher though. He just started laughing “I cant believe you actually told me” “What do you mean?” “Well, I kind of knew all along” I just looked at him confused, how would he know? “Before you ask earlier this afternoon when we were waiting for you to get ready Blake texted Toby to ask what color dress you were wearing tonight. I thought this was weird and that’s when Toby told me about what happened the night he dropped us all home” That explains the sudden awkwardness when I walked into the lounge room earlier. “So I kind of had my suspicions that there was something going on between the two of you” I just kept my silence not sure of what to say next. “So tonight when you went to go get us beers I thought you were taking your time, I went looking for you when I caught you staring at Blake from the opposite side of the room. I went to go get your attention when I saw Blake exit the gymnasium, shortly followed by you” I just sat their stunned at what he was saying. “Next thing I followed you up to his office. Needless to say I put two and two together, especially when you didn’t return for ages” I remained silent for a minute. “Oh my god! I cant believe you knew this all along! How embarrassing” I said covering my face with my hands. He just started laughing, seemingly please with his detective skills. “ Now its your turn too spill the beans, who’s the lucky lady!” I say hoping its someone embarrassing so he could hopefully be just as embarrassed as I now am. “Well…..” He started but stopped himself. I just sat there glaring at him, letting him know that he wasn’t getting away with not telling me. “It’s actually a lucky guy!” he said shyly while he pulled up to my house. Oh my god! “What, your gay?! I thought you said you initially had a thing for me!” “I’m actually bisexual, and I initially did, that wasn’t a lie!” At this time Toby opened the front door, clearly eager to find out all of the goss for the night. Then it just clicked! The lucky guy is TOBY! I got excited because I knew Toby found Connor attractive also. I just looked at him about to say something when he quickly put his fingers up to my mouth to shush me. “Please don’t say anything!” He quickly said before Toby made it to the car! I just mouthed OK when Toby opened my door for me. “Ive been waiting fooooorrreeevvver” Toby shrieked. “Hurry up i've already poured the wine, ready for ALL the gossip, you too Connor!” I’m assuming he is talking about Blake because of the text message he sent Toby earlier. I thought back about when I first saw his tie this evening and that I just put it down to an odd coincidence. I thought it was sweet that he wanted to match our outfits. We went inside and to his word he had three glasses of wine poured in the lounge room. I mean I expected nothing less from my best friend as he is the biggest gossip queen going, and he likes to live vicariously through other people. I made sure I sat on the single chair and left the two glasses of wine on the double couch for Connor and Toby. Connor just gave me look, as if to say he knows what I am doing and to stop it. I just smirked while taking a sip of my wine. I didn’t say anything to begin with, it was Connor who was the first to blurt out what happened. I just ended up filling in the gaps about the text messages and the countless orgasms and mind blowing s*x. I answered all of Tobys questions and by the time he finally decided he had all the details we were done with two and half bottles of wine. “I’m so happy for you Beth, Its about time you got some” Toby said laughing. “Toby, stop it!” I say throwing a pillow at him. “I'm going to call it a night, thank you for a fantastic night guys I had a blast” Connor said. While standing up giving me a hug and kiss goodbye. “Ill walk you out” Toby said. I gave Toby a hug and kiss goodnight and went upstairs to get ready for bed. I hopped into bed and checked my phone before heading to sleep. Thanks for making my night, I cant wait to see you again! Sweet dreams xx. It was from Blake and I had butterflies in my stomach reading his message. Tonight really feels like a dream. I should be thanking you. Goodnight I replied. I laid there thinking about this evening’s events including the best orgasms I’ve had in my adult life. I wondered if we were going to start something this time around or if he just wanted casual s*x like before. I had so many questions to ask him but didn’t even know where to start. I ended up just hugging one of my pillows wishing it was Blake before succumbing to sleep.
