Chapter 8: The Arrangment Part II

1294 Words
Aiden's POV After her little speech, that stung by the way, Aurora was trying her hardest not to cry and what her father said didn't make things any better, I could see that clearly. Aurora opened to say something but her dad gave her a warning look to tell her to stop.  "We are going to go over some..." Uncle Henry paused as if to think about what to say. "Rules."  What the f**k? Rules?  Everyone was quiet to see what he was going to say.  "These are to keep us more united in the public eye." He said. "Since Aurora don't have anyone that she is dating at the moment, and is not seen with boys very often, there are more for Aiden. But that doesn't mean they don't apply to you, Arora." "First," He said. "We are going to announce you engagement to each other after your graduation to keep Aurora's cover, but you are sticking together at school since you both are going to the same school." "No," Aurora said, and when her dad gave her a warning look she added. "We are not 'sticking' together at school. He is known in the school and whoever he is with will be under the spotlight because of their ties to him. The chances that they will notice me and uncover who I am will be very high. I wanted to keep from being under the spotlight so they won't know who I am."  "Fine." Her father muttered, not happy but knew she was right. "You are not to be seen with any other girl publicly."  "I think that would be hard." Aurora said while smirking. "Since he is on the news and front of the news papers everyday, with a new girl mostly." I just rolled my eyes at her.  I could swear I heard her mutter "Manwhore." She did not just call me a manwhore. I am not a manwhore. Ok, fine I am, but that doesn't mean she can say that when she is the reason I just hook up with other girls and don't have a serious relationship.  The hardest part was to try not to snap at her since she was the Princess and right now I was no one.  "Aurora!" Ethan yelled at her. "language." He glared at her. She just rolled her eyes at him, while her father shook his head in disappointment. "You will participate at every party that the Palace throws, starting this at weekend's ball." Uncle Henry continued. "You both need to talk to each other, appear friendly." He said the last part looking at his daughter.  "I want to know somethings as well." Aurora said,  crossing her hands in front of her chest. His father raised his eyebrows at her. She really is a queen, I thought while smirking. "Why?" She asked. I was also curious but I wouldn't dare to talk that way to the King. I was waiting for an answer and I knew Aurora was also waiting for an answer.  "Why?" she asked, her voice a little louder this time now that she got no answer, and I could that she was getting more frustrated.  "Does this has anything to do with what you said last night?" She asked. Still no answer.  "Fine, don't answer. I will get my answers, one way or another." She threatened. Even when she was young she used to get her answers.  Thinking back to those days made a sad smile appear on my face.   But I just noticed something she said about last night. What did she mean by that? "Can you at least tell me how long you have had this..." She paused while throwing her hands in the air. "This marriage thing planned?" She asked. "Since you were two years old." Ethan was the one answer her question after a long time of silent.  "WHAT?" Aurora and I ask in unison. I could feel my anger rising. What the f**k?! Since we were two years old?    "Are you serious?" I asked, mad and trying to calm myself down. I looked at my dad who was looking at the king. "Was that the whole reason you two became friends? To marry off your son and daughter together?" My voice was raising at the end from the anger. "Just like I told Aurora I am telling you there is no need for you to know the reason behind this right now." The King said.  "Why?" I asked. "Because there is simply no need for you to know." My dad said this time. I looked at him in disbelief. Is he serious right now? "Are you f*****g serious?" I shouted at him while clenching my fists at my sides. I looked at my dad's green eyes that were like mine. Everyone said that I was a copy of him in the looks department. We have the same dark brown hair and sharp jawline, basically I was a younger version of him. "Yes Aiden, this is very serious." He said in a very serious tone. We continued to stare at each other while the silent around us.  After a while I looked at Aurora and for some reason she was quiet, which was weird since she was the one to talk most of the time. When I looked at her, she was looking at Ethan who was by the door, but when I looked at Ethan he was looking every where except at his sister.  "You know what?" I said in a harsh tone. "I'm leaving." I went to the door and when I opened the door I looked at my dad over my shoulder. "Oh, and by the way, don't expect me home tonight. I will stay at one of my friends house." With that I turned round and left the room and the Palace.    ********************************************************************************* It's been four hours since I left the Palace. Right now I am in a bar, making out with God knows who. I don't know how I ended in this position but here I am, drunk and like usual making out  with some girl. I move to her neck placing kisses on her throat sucking on her sweet spot, making her moan. I moved down to her collarbone and to where her dress starts.  I smirked, while looking at her.  "What the hell Lexi?" A voice from behind roars. I look up and see a tall guy looking down at us with rage evident in his dark brown eye. "It hasn't been an a hour before I leave you and you are already making out with some other guy? In public?"  "Who the hell are you?" I ask, a little smug and arrogant. "Her fiancé." He says nodding to the girl that is below me.  I look at the girl (Lexi?) in disbelief. "You are engaged?" I ask, the shock evident in my voice. I looked down on her left ring finger, but didn't see any ring.  I pushed myself off of her and rushed to my feet, looking a her in disgust on my face. I looked at the man and back to the woman who was adjusting her dress. I might be player but I would never f**k a girl that was taken.  "I-I-I'm sorry. I-" I was cut off by a sudden flash of light. It took me a few seconds to know what happened. Usually, t wouldn't have bothered me that they took a photo of me with some girl, but with the flash the conversation with the King came to my mind.  I could feel all the color from my face drained. The conversation was replaying in my mind.  When I came out of my world no one was there.  I'm so dead.
