Chapter 28 There was the sound of someone walking down the hall towards the cell. I pushed my way back to the corner, not knowing who was coming, until I smelled the putrid odor of the Rogue. He was carrying a tray of food and water. The cell door was opened, he placed the food on the floor then shut the door. He stood by observing me, chuckling when I eagerly approached the food. I was starving. All I had been given so far was the 1 apple. He laughed even harder when he saw my face fall when I noticed that the food was buttered bread and plain rice that had bugs in it. “If you’re hungry enough you’ll eat it. Bugs are just protein, Princess.” He sneered and walked away. I greedily took the bread, tore pieces off, shoving them in my mouth. I finished it by chugging the glass of
