Chapter 35 Jax stood over Laney, angered by what he saw. His mate, tied to the bed, and that bastard Zander about to have his way with her! He did a quick look at her neck to be sure Zander hadn’t marked her. She hadn’t been marked! Jax took her arm, his claws tearing at the remaining ribbon freeing her hands. Jax carefully looked at her wrists and arms for injury. She was ok. Jax transformed back into Joey. Joey grabbed a bedsheet and wrapped it around Laney, to conceal the nakedness beneath the sheer nightgown. There was still a fight going on outside the door, but he had to get Laney out of there.
