Javier looked at his watch for the nth time since he arrived at the gate of the property his sister was trying to sell. It looked quite familiar, but he could not remember where he had seen it or if he had been here before. The gate opened behind him as Brianna's company car pulled up next to him, and she rolled down her window, staring at him from behind her sunglasses. "Stop looking so angry, I said 14:30, not 14:00," she said and then pulled inside the yard. He sighed and followed her inside, a frown on his face as recognition clicked in his head as he passed the ugly fountain. Wasn't this Alastair Cooper's house? Damn! He has not even been dead for a month and his wife was already cashing in on his stuff. He thought as he entered the house, where Brianna was seated on the staircase. She looked nervous and yet deviant. "Isn't this Alastair Cooper's house?" He asked to clear the tension brewing. Brianna shrugged with a soft sigh. "My job is to sell houses, not to tell people about the previous owner," she said in her real estate agent voice. "But yes, it is. His wife moved out on the day of his funeral," she confirmed. "Damn, that's harsh. So soon?" Javier pried. She rolled her eyes at him. "The house actually belongs to Aaron McEnroe Senior, he's the one who put it out for sale." Javier's attention perked up at the mention of his business partner. "Aaron McEnroe, the owner of McEnroe Construction Company?" Brianna nodded. "The same man." "Interesting," He said thoughtfully, a devious plan cooking up in his head. "But I'm sure you didn't call me here to talk about this house. What's up?" He already knew why she called him, it was probably to warn her to stay away from Mrs Dos Santos. His sister was not as cunning as he was, only when her identity would be compromised, like she did when Samantha started involving herself in the whole Rafaela saga. As much as he was aware what she wanted to talk about, he was not prepared for what she said next. "I went to see Miss Sandoval at the hospital before she left the country," she said stubbornly. He clenched his jaw, giving her a hard look. "Why would you do that?" He grounded. "What if she alerts her husband and then he comes after us to finish the job he started twenty years ago?" His heart filled with anger at the prospect of his sister working against him and doing things behind his back, especially when it concerned the people who killed their parents. "She didn't see me, she was sleeping, okay?!" Brianna yelled. His anger flared up and he grabbed her by her shoulders, yelling in her face. "That doesn't matter! Have you thought about your children?? Do you want to leave them without a mother? Or better yet, do you want to get them killed?" He seethed. Brianna tried to wiggle out of his hold. "Javier, calm down! I told you she didn't see me, she was sleeping. I didn't even stay for too long because Jorge Billings was there with her and some man!" She shouted in terror, and he let her go. She was on the brink of tears, her body shaking in both anger and fear. That was how she was supposed to feel and look at the thought of Antonina Sandoval or Dos Santos, not him. "That man was looking at me suspiciously, so I left," she gulped. "And don't you dare play this 'history repeats itself again' s**t on me. I don't care what you think or say; Antonina Sandoval is a good woman, and if you dare hurt her–" Her voice shook as she spoke, hardening towards the end. "What will you do?" He dared, his voice cunning and demanding. Brianna scoffed and shook her head at him. "You know, you like walking around as if the world owes you. Well, I don't owe you anything at all; you were never a brother to me, you just used me to get what you wanted. Now, it's my time to collect, Javier Mendoza. You want to know what I will do – touch Antonina Dos Santos and you will know," she challenged. Javier clenched and unclenched his fists. She had hit a nerve right there, it reminded him so much of the day he spoke to Anita Simmons. "Brianna–" he warned, but she brushed him off. "The couple that is viewing the house is here, if you'll excuse me." She walked away from him, greeting the couple at the door. "Mr & Mrs Lewis, hi!" Javier watched her as she spoke to the man and woman, his eyes burning into her back. Guess he would just have to see, because unbeknownst to her, she was too late. Mrs Dos Santos was probably dead by now.
